This is delicious!
It looks like nigori sake that has long been loved by the locals in Hida.
There is a lot of lees in this bottle! Even after being left for a long time without shaking, 80% of the bottle was pure white with lees.
I thought it might be sweet with this much lees, but when I drank it, it was surprisingly dry.
It was the kind of sake that I would like to drink on a daily basis.
I envy people in Hida who can usually buy it!

I suddenly had a craving for a nigori.
I found this one at a nearby store.
The name is Dobu, but it is nigori sake.
It is not as sweet as it smells,

Hida ditch
It is treated as "nigori (nigori sake)" in case you think it is doburoku.
Tastes like a spicy version of amazake.
Sweet! Spicy! It tastes like alternating sweet and spicy.
The mouthfeel is just like amazake with less graininess.
The alcohol is not too strong and is well balanced.
The aftertaste is slightly pungent, but then it quickly fades away.
I was planning to drink about half of it heated, but before I knew it, I had drunk it all. Damn!

So I bought some doburoku from the famous Watanabe Shuzo, and it seems that dark nigori sake is accurate.

It is so easy to drink that it is hard to believe it has 17% alcohol.
