Unexpectedly, I was reunited with a surprising bubbly sake I encountered on my December trip to Ise-Shima in Hokuriku during a visit to a liquor store!
Well, I guess I'll just have to go around a lot 😁.
But they only had single-batch bottles and no four-batch bottles 💦.
I don't know if I'm lucky or unlucky to be able to drink it all at home...
Never mind!
I'll drink it right away!
Again, I succeeded in opening the bottle easily: ✌️
First, only the supernatant.
The aroma is lemon.
I didn't feel it last time.
On the palate, it was sweet and sour like a white wine with a strong citrus acidity.
Sour and delicious. ❗️
Next, the stirred version!
Naturally, the lees mixes in and the acidity is increased. ⤴️⤴️
It became even more sour and delicious!
But the acidity is not too harsh and is in harmony with the umami, so it goes in smoothly.
Maybe this is good for summer!
Not now, right? ‼️
I'm not sure if it's a good time for this 🤣
Good morning Haruei Chichi 😃.
Summer oriented alcohol at this time of the year...especially when it's been so cold lately 😁 might have been good to drink it after a bath 😊.
Hi Rafa papa 😃
I thought the same thing.
That refreshing feeling is definitely suitable for summer 😄.
Next time I come across it, I would like to drink it after a workout or a bath in the middle of summer.
Good evening, Mr. Hirupeco!
Yes, it is!
I thought this is a drink you should drink up after taking a hot bath!
Let's drink fruit milk together instead of 🥛😁.
When stirred well, it tastes like a carbonated beverage with a good balance of sweet and bitter flavors. But the alcohol kicked in quickly.
Alcohol content: 17%.
Rice polishing ratio: 60
Rice used: Undisclosed
Alcohol 15%.
Sake degree +2
Acidity 1.8
Amino acidity 1.0
Rice used: Gohyakumangoku (Kyoto)
Polishing ratio (Kake rice, Koji rice) 55%, 55
Yeast Kyoto yeast
Refreshing citrus aroma
Gentle mouthfeel
Light and elegant taste like feathers
The acidity is not as strong as the acidity, which is a wonder.
The oldest brewery in Fushimi: ⭕️
This time it is Tsuki no Katsura no Kutteki-Gyoten.
I see that "吃驚仰天" is read as "Bikkuri Gyoten".
Haruei Chichi-san was drinking a small bottle of Tsuki no Katsura, which I was curious about. I found it in Fushimi!
When you twist the lid, the bubbles are just about to burst out. It looks like champagne. It's so lively.
The supernatant is a thick, apricot-like, sweet and sour cider. When you mix in the cider's oli, you can taste the slight bitterness. It is more sweet and sour than the original nigori!
It's a small 180ml bottle with 8% alcohol,
It all happened so fast😅.
I'm happy to drink it! If you ever come to Kyoto, please do 💕
I had some business nearby,
I took a walk around the Fushimi area of Kyoto, which was crowded with people buying sake for the New Year.
There is a place called Fushimi Yume Hyakushu, which is a combination of a sake store and a café in the former Gekkeikan headquarters,
I was excited to see a free sake tasting for shoppers!
I enjoyed Fushimi's sake with gusto. I also enjoyed the Asahi by Tsukitsukatsura!
From Momoyama to Nakashojima, it's fun to take a walk in Fushimi at the end of the year👍.
Hi Hirupeko, Good evening 😃This bottle is so cute 🩷I can't stop thinking about it, all that shwash and light niggles 😆 Low al and small bottle, that would kill me 💦I wish I could find one 💕.
Good evening, Wakata-san. It was already a cute little bottle, and the sweet, sour, and shwashy inside made me instantly excited 😆 I hope Wakata-san will be able to meet you too!
Hi Hirupeco, good evening 🌇.
Thank you very much for your introduction 😊.
I bet you must have been surprised and amazed at how realistically healthy you are😄.
Peco, good evening 🌙
I go into Fushimi Yumehyakushu for tasting when they open the brewery, but they also have a free tasting at the end of the year 😳sounds like a lot of fun🎶I've been wanting to go there for a while now😊.
Good morning, Haruei Chichi. I was surprised at how energetic even the small bottles are. ‼️ It must have been quite difficult to open the bottle on the train, wasn't it? I like the cute little bottle shuwashu 😊.
Good morning, Pon. I was so excited when I suddenly saw that there was a tasting event. There were 18 sake breweries in Fushimi, each with a bottle of each, so we could compare Fushimi sake at the end of the year 😆.
Hi Miss Peco, ☀️
You are drinking something that looks delicious! I could drink it all in one gulp after a bath🤣.
I'm going away to buy sake, that's my goal for next year ☺️
Good evening, brother Maru. I went to Fushimi for something other than sake! I'd like to be strong, but I guess I'll end up taking a walk in the sake brewery on the way home 😅.
Three-day, two-night trip to Ise-Shima and Hokuriku
Day 2
In the train of the Thunderbird Limited Express bound for Kanazawa
The second bottle
Tsuki no Katsura Junmai Nakakumi Nigori Sake
Purchased at Isetan while changing trains at Kyoto Station (No. 2)
It took me a while to open the bottle💦.
The amount of lees was too much...
I drank the top clear, or rather, automatically stirred...
The aroma is lactobacillus beverage too!
But it's even more surprising than the surprise drink I just had.
The bitter taste is really amazing. ❗️
When stirred, it has a bitter and pungent taste that cannot be described anymore!
The tip of the tongue goes numb, and the throat trembles.
It is truly a unique and unique sake!
I'm not trying to diss this one 😁.
Good evening, Haruei Chichi. I'm enjoying just looking at your trip from Ise-Shima to Hokuriku, 3 days and 2 nights packed with fun things to do and delicious sake 😆Month's Katsura is the original nigori (nigori is a type of rice wine)! It's the original nigori!
Three-day, two-night trip to Ise-Shima and Hokuriku
Day 2
On board the Thunderbird Limited Express train from Kyoto to Kanazawa
Still drinking ❗️
Tsuki no Katsura Bikkuri Gyoten (Junmai-shu Happo)
Purchased at Isetan while changing trains at Kyoto station.
The experienced clerk let me try it and I liked it so much that I bought it!
First of all, only the supernatant.
Oh, this is a carbonated lactobacillus drink!
In the Kyushu Al-Al metaphor, it's a squall, an ambassa
Then the stirred version
The lees are mixed in and the acidity is increased: ⤴️⤴️
The flavor is also improved: ⤴️
But the bitterness is not changed so much.
So you can keep drinking it with a light feeling.
It's delicious👍!
The third drink was one recommended by the female owner 😊.
It has a sour taste and is more like a fruit wine than a sake!
Not recommended for those who like sake-like taste, but I liked it a lot. ❤️
