I went shopping at Aeon today and found this Toko on the shelf near the expiration date in the sake section. I've never had a sake from Yamagata before so I bought this one. It's a dry and robust sake ☺️. I like the taste. I thought I've never had a sake from Yamagata prefecture but I did. I had a hard time deciding between it and Nanbu Bijin but it didn't matter.

I have been trying to cut down on drinking in anticipation of my medical checkup, but now that it is over, I am posting for the first time in a while. I bought this sake at a sake brewery in Yonezawa, Yamagata, which I visited on a trip the other day. The aroma is restrained and the mouthfeel is a bit dry, but the umami flavor gradually develops. It is easy to drink, as it seems to be a little lower in alcohol content, at 14 degrees. Sake is good after all.
