Today on TV 📺 there was a report on the Sake Shinkansen 🚄. The plan was to enjoy 14 items of Niigata's Daiginjo-class Sake and a box lunch using Niigata's ingredients during the 2 hours and 30 minutes journey from Tokyo to Shin-Osaka. I was impressed by the expressions on everyone's faces.
This time we got Sagaminada from Kanagawa Prefecture.
It is a delicious Daigin-standard sake made from Miyamanishiki polished to 50%. It has a rich ginjo aroma and a refreshing taste. Very tasty 😋.

The aroma of koji (malted rice) is subtle, and in the mouth, there is not much of the carbonation (shuwashu) characteristic of nama-shu, but rather a full flavor and the deliciousness of the rice.
Actually, I went to the store for [Sagaminada Tokubetsu Junmai Shu Dry Oorigarami], but it was sold out😭.
So, I checked again and decided to go for this sake, which was my first encounter with this brand.

Although it is a nama-shu, I think it is a crisp, slightly dry sake with a good balance of acidity and bitterness, with little stimulation that tingles on the tongue.

It is refreshing and the sweetness is really moderate. The umami taste comes quickly, followed by sourness and a hint of bitterness, but the overall taste is crisp and dry without a fruity or sugary feel, perfect for seafood. I'm having dinner today with some bonito from the supermarket. 😊

This one was very tasty with a good balance of freshness and umami.
It had a sweet and sour taste at first, not too strong bitterness, and a richness that is typical of Omachi.
