Lion Dance Series Shishimai Shochiku Ume, a standard sake for Shinto shrines
A local specialty of the season is kusa-mochi, or grass cakes.
It is irresistible to dip it in plenty of sugar and chew it with a jarring crunch.
I was so generous as to accept a Kusa-mochi as a souvenir.
Thank you very much!
It was given as a gift at the dedication ceremony for the reconstruction of the main building of the family temple. The sake tastes even better now that it has been enjoyed for a longer period of time.
I had not seen a pack in the supermarket recently, but I found a 300 ml bottle and bought it. I found a fruity banana flavor that I liked a lot and remembered the time I used to drink it.
Shochiku Bai Seven Premium Junmai Sake
I didn't have time to stop by the liquor store, so this was a packaged sake. It has a slightly mass-produced feel, but considering the price, it is quite good.
