Happy New Year!
I will continue to drink regularly this year, but not to the point of overdoing it. After returning home from work, here is the first bottle I bought and kept for myself to open at the beginning of the new year. It's a Sentori with a zodiac sign label of a snowman.
This is delicious. The sweetness is just right and easy to drink. The fizz is refreshing, like an adult cream soda. The label says "LaFrance," and it certainly tastes just like that. The alcohol flavor is just right, and the sweetness is a little bit subdued. The price was a little high, but I am glad I took the plunge and bought it. I will enjoy this year's sake as well as this year's delicious sake.
It tasted different from the Sentori I had drunk before!
The sourness and sweetness seemed more mature!
It was a new discovery for me to know that there is such a Sentori as this 😋.

Second run of the day
The second bottle that my eldest son brought back from Tochigi is a popular Tochigi sake, Senkou!
It tastes dry and gassy!
This sake is great with snacks too!
It's fun to drink with others and it makes the drink go down a treat 😁.
I am happy to enjoy drinking at the end of this year 🥰.
This year, the last bottle is one of the three major nigori sakes, Sengoku Snowball: ⛄️

This year, we didn't have a party for our eldest daughter who is a student for the entrance examination.
Instead, we had a family year-end party and Christmas party on the 30th.
My son and I requested sashimi 🤤.
I wanted to try Udan (sea urchin) so I went to a fish shop far away and bought a box of it 😍.
This year's snowball seemed to be more sour and spicy than usual with the usual milky taste 😊.
The spiciness is not alcoholic, but pleasant with a lingering spiciness that can be drawn out by the aftertaste.
The sourness was not only characteristic of Senkyoku but also sourness of the sour side? I felt like there was a sour acidity in addition to the one peculiar to Sengkyo.
I am looking forward to comparing it with another bottle of UA 😘.

Snowman was opened just in time for my son's return home.
It's a little more schwashy than I thought it would be 🫧.

It has a slight gasiness and a sourness that may be derived from the sake yeast, but it is silky and round with a hint of nigori (bitterness), and is very tasty with umami and a hint of sweetness.

The first day after opening, the taste is mainly sour and bitter, but after the second day, it has a great sweetness and umami aroma that is typical of Senkou, and when mixed with the starch, a slight sweet sake flavor is added.
