As a birthday present, my wife bought me a bottle of sake at Kandaya in Hirakata.
This is my first time to drink sake from Shimane. It is a junmai, nama-shu, which I like. The rice polishing is 70%, but it depends on your taste. The alcohol content is slightly high at 17 degrees. The rice is Gohyakumangoku from Shimane Prefecture. It was developed by a female brewer targeting female customers, so it is a sweet and fruity sake, which is very popular nowadays. However, it also has a strong sake character.
The sweetness is more pronounced if you let the bottle sit for a week after opening. The price is 3,300 yen including tax, which is very reasonable.
Recommended for first-time sake drinkers.
The color is about the same as white wine.
The aroma is of ripeness, black tea, mushrooms, and spices. There is a sense of curry.
It is delicious at room temperature, even as it is! The wine has a nourishing sweetness and a quiet acidity. There is also a delicious flavor that is very sinking in. I love it!
Warm it up.
Naturally, it's delicious. It's a combination of umami, nourishment, and a whole lot of other things that make it, well, just delicious.
It's good at room temperature, but it's also good when heated. It's very San-in-like, but it's still easy to drink. Umaumauma!
This is an old sake that has been aged for five years. Since there have been many fresh or new sake recently, the mellowness and caramel-like aroma of aged sake is refreshing.
Junmai Ginjo Fukuro-tori Genshu
Rice variety Sakonishiki produced in Shimane Prefecture
Polishing ratio 60
Alcohol 17%.
Sake degree +1
Sake with a gorgeous aroma, a clean taste, rich notes and dignity. It is a very delicious handsome sake.
Purchased at the Izumo-taisha station store when visiting Izumo-taisha shrine.
It has a refreshing sweetness with a hint of sake yeast. The aroma of the sake's yeast holds down the aroma of alcohol nicely. Good, good, good. It is a great food sake.
The label was removed well. It is cute, so I will use it as a bookmark for my business notebook.
