Home drinking.
I bought this at Shimadaya Sake Shop near Utsunomiya Station on my way home from "Tochigi Local Sake Cheers Festa 2024".
After all, you can't miss Nanamizu 🤗.
Since it was a special occasion, I tamed it a bit before opening it. Having my favorite sake in the fridge makes me feel more relaxed 😊.
When I opened the bottle, I could smell the aroma of strawberry 🍓. This smell is already great.
The color is clear.
The mouthfeel is slightly carbonated and choisy🫧🫧.
The taste is sweet like strawberry🍓, mixed with sourness.
It is like drinking fruit juice🍹.
The aftertaste is bitter and delicious, with a strong aftertaste.
Compared to the other version of Y2, it feels less transparent. Instead, it has a mellow, rich flavor and aroma 😊.
I would love to drink this sake again 🍶😆.
Hi Jay & Nobby, ☀️
Y3 is a sake 🍶 that I would always keep a bottle of if it were available in Tokyo 😁.
Unfortunately, I've never seen it in Tokyo liquor stores 😭
When the bottle is opened, it makes a nice popping sound!
It's only a draft sake, so it's very lively!
There is also a slight bubbling sensation!
First of all, it is fresh and refreshing, with a strong sweetness and acidity that lingers in the mouth for a while!
I was told by the liquor store that this was the most fruity sake in the store, and while it is fruity, the sweetness is very assertive and different from the fruity impression I had imagined 🤔.
It is delicious, but I wanted more fruitiness!
I haven't encountered it in Tokyo for a long time. When I visited Utsunomiya last year, I bought the standard Omachi one, but today I tried Aizan.
The aroma was similar to the Oumachi type, with a strong sweetness of rice, but the sharpness was very refreshing (unlike other brands that cut with spiciness). ☺️
Thank you for your comment, Jay & Nobby😊.
We went to a sake brewery near Utsunomiya station (which was closed and we were guided to) and visited a special distributor, Yoshikawa Sake Shop. I was surprised to see such a wide selection of products and the owner explained to me in detail about the differences between each product. I found a place in Tokyo where I can drink several of my favorite sake products, so I will try them all 😉.
