Junmai Ginjo Y.S. Again, last year's first check-in at Sakegawa was this sake. Shortly after the news that Manyo Sei from the same brewery won the highest platinum award at the Australian Sake Awards 2024, I went to visit them at Hankyu Umeda and bought this sake. The 2022 is the same, but this time it is an unfiltered, unpasteurized sake. According to the story, it is not sold at the brewery, but only at department stores. It has a light and refreshing aroma, a light texture, and a refreshing acidity and umami flavor. There is nothing outstandingly delicious about this sake, but when you drink it, you will definitely think, "Ah, this is delicious. It is a very good sake. Manyo Sei is expensive, so I couldn't ask him to let me drink it (laugh).

Sake rice: Tochigi no Hoshi (rice rice) I imagined that sake made from rice would be sweet and sour. I imagined it would be sweet and sour, but it is very tasty 😋. Fruity and umami, but somewhat light. I want to drink it in summer.

I drank out yesterday and today too! Company drinking party🍻 at a beer hall🍺. We toasted with beer and then went on to sake! There are only Suginamiki and Shikizakura, but I'll go for it anyway! It's not my favorite, but I felt the Shiki Sakura was dry 🤔. After a few drinks, I switched to beer again 🍻. Checked in at Utsunomiya Brewery 📝, which I've probably never had before.

Good morning, Mr. Bousuke 😃. Beer Hall 😍This hot 🥵 weather makes beer 🍺 the best 😅But even in such a case, Tochigi sake 🍶‼️ is the quintessential Tochigi 🥰.

Hi Jay & Nobby😃 I can't expect to drink sake at the company party 😩 Sake is small and beer is the main thing. I'd like to have some Jikin today 😋 that I've been putting off.

Hankyu Department Store Tasting (1) From Kochi Prefecture to Tochigi Prefecture...but not from Hanshin Department Store to Hankyu Department Store. On the way, I got the sake I had been after for a long time at Yamanaka Sake store in Eki Marche. At Hankyu, I tasted Shikizakura. Shikizakura Junmai Ginjo Y.S. Nama Sake It is made from "Yumesasara," Tochigi Prefecture's preferred rice for sake brewing, and uses Tochigi Prefecture's yeast T-S. It has a firm flavor and a slightly caramelized taste. It had a robust flavor, with a slight caramel taste, and I think I detected a bit of chocolate. Shikizakura Daiginjo Nama Sake The aroma, sweetness, and umami spread gorgeously in the first sip. This is very tasty. It has a mild bitterness in the aftertaste. Shikizakura Imai Shohei Junmai Daiginjo This sake is named after the toji (master brewer) with whom we had a chance to talk at the previous brewer's festival. The label had changed since the last time I tasted it, so I didn't recognize it. It has a robust flavor, with a bitter bitterness followed by a refreshing spiciness. Shikizakura Summer I don't understand the note anymore, it says Umasukiri. Tochigi no Hoshi Junmai Sake It is made from rice, "Tochigi-no-Hoshi". I thought it was a little too ricey or something. The brewer came to the brewery and talked about Hanabara, which was featured in the movie "Mimashinbo," the story of the two Utsunomiya breweries, and the toji (master brewer). Again, I love Tochigi 💕🤗🤗.

Move from Hanshin to Hankyu 🏃. On the way, we went to Yamanaka Sake Shop at Eki Marche. Nemuchi-san was buying the sake she wanted! Shikizakura was there, so we went for a tasting! I've never been home for sake tasting or drinking 💦. The brewer was there! Love Tochigi 🥰 part 1 even at the tasting! We drank Junmai Ginjo Y.S Unfiltered Nama Sake I wondered what YS was but didn't ask😅. It was delicious, with just the right amount of sweetness and robust flavor! It is usually fire-aged, but they prepared it raw for Hankyu! Yume sasara and TS yeast are used to make YS? Daiginjo Nama Sake The most delicious of all the sake we drank this time! Brilliant, sweet and delicious! Shohei Imai Junmai Daiginjo I drank this at last year's traveling SAKE, but when I asked Nemuchi about the different label, he said that the specifications were different depending on the season. I think they probably change the contents slightly. It is a junmai daiginjo, but the taste is firm without being too clean. Shikizakura Summer Special Junmai It seems to be a series that is released seasonally. I think I've seen a draft of this somewhere. It's refreshing and gorgeous. Tochigi no Hoshi Junmai Sake It has a strong rice flavor, but at the same time, it was subtle because I felt something strange about it. After this, we went to a new sake and wine store in Dojima, where you can buy sake and wine, drink and dine 🚃.

At a hotel in Nikko. Beautiful label. Easy to drink with a good sense of rice. It is light and dry. It has a sharpness that makes it perfect as a mid-meal drink.

At a drinking party with my co-workers (2) At an izakaya full of the sense of place, the second sake is selected from a local sake menu of 5 sake discoveries. I thought it had been a while since I had tried Toyo Bijin, but it was sold out, so I went with this one, which was a first for me. It is Shikizakura ARUSHIROI Junmai Ginjo. ARUSHIROI is a junmai ginjo sake made by women for women. It is brewed by Aki Imai of Utsunomiya Shuzo with Gohyakumangoku rice grown by Tomoko Nishioka of momo farm, and creator RARIYOSHIO was in charge of the bottle design, etc. Sorry for my uncle's drinking 🙇. By the way, ARUSHIROI is taken from the passage "Arushiroi Tsukijin no Ouka ya" from the book "Kamiyu no Niwa" written about Shimogamo Jinja Shrine in Kyoto. I heard that it has received many awards, including the IWC Silver Award in 2022 and the Kura Master Platinum Award, but I did not know that! The aroma is well chilled, and perhaps due to the time that has passed since the bottle was opened, the only aroma is that of sake-like sake spirit and a hint of acidity. The taste was quite dry, with a thick rice flavor based on a firm acidity. The alcohol content is 17 degrees, making it a very authentic sake. I had the impression that this was a sake for sake women.

Hi Aladdin 😃 Here is Shikizakura! I've seen it at Sake no Wa but haven't had a chance to drink it yet 😅Just as the Sake no Wa Tochigi Women's Association was launched yesterday 😆 so it's like a bottle of ‼️ for that purpose 🤗.

Hi Jay & Nobby 😃 This is the first time I've heard of Shikizakura 😳. I thought it is not a modern sake for girls, but a real sake for people who really love sake and for the Tochigi Women's Club 😄.

Good evening, Tsubu-chan 😃. No, really 😁I'm sure we'll have this as a toast at the next Tochigi Women's Club 🥂🍶. It's going to be just a cosplay Tochigi party with a lot of self-proclaimed female historians attending, but it's also going to be a lot of fun 🤣.
