Today, my eldest son and his wife, who got married last year, and I had a little late lunch in Yokohama.
My daughter and her husband had planned to meet and have dinner when they came from Izumo, but my eldest son was hospitalized with swollen tonsils, and I wanted to celebrate with them, but only his wife joined 🤣.
They also wanted to give me some souvenirs from their New Year's holiday trip to his wife's parents' home in Kyushu, so today was the day since the eldest son was discharged from the hospital last week!
We went to the Yokohama branch of a boned chicken restaurant in Kagawa Prefecture, where my wife's parents live.
I had two draft beers to go with the spicy chicken, but I also wanted to try some Japanese sake, so I went to "Misen".
It was so refreshing...
A little dry, not too light?
A little sweetness and acidity, but not too much.
This is the kind of taste that goes well with spicy food.
It was fun and tasty today, but...,
But I still ate too much 😂.
Purchased at Saijo Sake Festival last month at Sake Merchant Yamada
Chose the Hiroshima limited distribution of Hatsuichiyo Yayama!
I recently learned that it is made by the same company as Sakurao, famous for its whiskey and gin 😂.
Sparkling sake is often the focus of attention in dancyu and on the internet.
Cold sake
The aroma is subdued.
Calm sweetness and gentle rice flavor
Beautiful yet powerful due to its high alcohol content.
If you drink it with carbonated water, the peculiarity is softened and it becomes easy to drink. 🙆♂️
Dense, sweet aroma.
Floral, slightly apricot and magic ink flavors on the palate.
The sweet flavor is then spicy on the tongue for a moment.
Lightly sharp acidity. Bitterness.
Firm umami, dry taste.
Good sharpness in the mouth.
A sharp and spicy sake.
Hanakura
Taste level ☆3/5
First sake from Hiroshima 🍶⛩️
It is made with Hiroshima's Hachitan-Nishiki and Koiomachi, and has a mild umami and a crisp, clean finish with a lingering alcohol taste.
A great sake to drink 🤣.
Memories of GW (2) ♥️
This is also at my grandma's house in Hiroshima!
It's a sake from Hiroshima 🥰.
I didn't know it but I chose it on a hunch 💞.
Fruity but with an impressive clean mouthfeel 😎🍶.
Delicious!
It's nice to drink a special sake from the place you visit 🥰🥰♥️
