At Sugitama in Orinas. Mukai with horse mackerel and toro-katsuo sashimi. Classic type, firm. It has bitterness and acidity. Good as a mid-meal drink because of its refreshing taste. It may be good as a hot sake.
Gorgeous aroma 🎆.
You can taste the flavor and acidity 🎵.
A hint of sweetness similar to apple 🍎.
Moist, mild mouthfeel that can be taken as a bit of a Western wine 🥃.
Bitterness comes lightly at the end: 👍️
It has the mildness of nigori, but it also has a nice shwashiness to it. It has a sweeter rice flavor than the normal white activated sake, and is more like amazake.
It is made in 2019 but was left in the brewery at the end of 2024. It has an aroma of maturity with a golden yellow color, the deep flavor of Kimoto is followed by a bit of spiciness.
Thanks for a great week 🍶Today is my first time in Hokkaido. I will have Niseko.
This is the first sake I have ever had. It is made from Hokkaido's sake rice, Comet. It is also the first time to drink with Comet rice. I am excited.
The aroma is fruity and sweet like apples. On the palate, it has a refreshing sweetness and umami at first. It is the kind of sake you would expect to find in Nagano sake.
After a little time, the umami flavor stands out and disappears with a touch of rice and spiciness. I was surprised to see such a change in taste.
I'm pairing it with grilled fish and a Yanagawa nabe made with canned mackerel and it's delicious 😊✨.
Niseko Junmai Ginjo Comet Nama Red Label 3,520 yen
Today's snacks include teppanyaki pork 🐽, ponzu gizzard, fried sweet potato, etc. ‼️
The nose has a good ginjo aroma with a slight alcohol smell. The initial attack is clean and sweet, followed by a bitter taste and a long aftertaste. It is a delicious sake made with Hokkaido's comet.
