Tamanjutsu, which is my personal favorite sake.
The problem is that you can't get it in Kansai.
It's a member of the Meimon Sake Association, but you rarely see it at liquor stores that are members of the Meimon Sake Association...
I drank
Tamanboast Junmai Daiginjo
Polishing ratio 35%, Hyogo Yamadanishiki, Sake degree +3, 15-16 degrees, 5830 yen
Fruity and clean taste with a gorgeous ginjo aroma.
The sweetness is mild.
Yaegiku (matured sake) Junmai-shu
Polishing ratio 70%, Koshihikari rice produced in Akiruno City, 15%.
Sake degree -3, acidity 1.9, 1650 yen
Drink it because of its classic label.
This sake is a reissue of a sake from the Morita Sake Brewery that used to brew in Akiruno City. It is said that they are related to Morita Sake Brewery.
I thought it was an arugula, but it is a junmai sake. I searched for it and found out that it is an aged sake.
It is sweet and round with a strong umami flavor.
The official website says it is out of stock and the next shipment will be after September 2013.
Tamanjutsu is still good.
Tamanboast Junmai Unfiltered" by Ishikawa Shuzo
An unfiltered junmai sake that brings out the flavor and sweetness of the rice in harmony.
Sake Brewer Ishikawa Shuzo Co.
Sake degree -8
Acidity 1.3
Alc. degree 14.2
A gift from a friend, the second of a set of three bottles.
It had a pleasant aroma, followed by a slight sweetness on the tip of the tongue, and then a pleasant bitterness that rippled through the taste buds.
I liked it so much that I would like to try it again from this brewery.
I purchased this ice cold bottle of Taman Boast on a recent Thanksgiving Day. This bottle is intended to be served on the rocks. It has a refreshing aroma of watermelon, or perhaps rumney. I was a little surprised that the aroma was still present even with ice. The taste also has a strong sake flavor. Although the alcohol content is not that high (16%), you can still taste the sake flavor even with ice. I would say that this is a very well-made sake.
Taman Pride Sparkling Sake. I thought it would be good for summer and bought it on a recent Thanksgiving Day. To be honest, I didn't like it very much. I didn't expect a sake filled with carbon dioxide gas to have such a tinny taste...
The luminescence-derived fizziness is good, but the filled soda gas is not... another mystery of sake...
I mean, it's not strange or anything, but it still tastes unnatural.
Tokyo Metropolitan
Junmai Nama Shu Nenju Matured
Polishing ratio 60
Alcohol 17%.
Nama sake from Taman Boast, which is widely distributed in Tokyo.
It was purchased in front of a station in Hachioji.
The rich flavor spreads in the mouth.
Because of its high alcohol content, it has a strong aftertaste.
It is very drinkable.
Today is Ishikawa Brewery's Appreciation Day, a stamp card that is issued for purchases of qualifying products for three consecutive months. This time, I received a four-pack of sake for completing the stamp card. I was surprised because I thought it was a smaller bottle. The brewery may have left it unsold, but the drinker was delighted.
It has a mellow melon-like aroma and a sweet, rich flavor. I know this may sound insistent, but they offered us a 4-gou bottle for completing the stamp card... they are so generous that I have become a fan even more and more.
