Revisited
Toyomae USA is Komatsu Sake Brewery
This time, there were three madam customers in front of us.
One of them praised this place.
When we described it as "rice wine" at the tasting, the madam and the proprietress of the brewery said, "I see...".
Juicy, fruity, sweet and sour.
Aroma and lingering aftertaste through the nostrils
You can really feel the rice in this wine.
It is a bottle that seems to be well received not only by madams but also by men and women of all ages.
I took a half day off to have a drink at Tsukiji.
At "Tsukiji Kaku-uchi Tabitebako".
I'm relying on my notes from here on.
Houjun Tokubetsu Junmai Hiyahoroshi
Rice used: Oita Mitsui
Aroma: firm (I got a mysterious note saying that)
Mouthfeel: Mellow.
Medium: blank? (perhaps a balanced clear taste?)
Aftertaste: spicy
Perhaps it was the feeling of the five tastes disappearing quickly in the mid-palate, like we tasted in "Senko-hanabi".
Toyonokuni Jizake Lunch Party 2025
The brewer told me it was sweet.
I tried it, but it didn't have much sweetness.
It's refreshing but normal.

The sixth bottle today.
It's a bottle of Ori-Gara-mi no Houjun, which I buy every year.
It was a 2023, so the carbonation was very strong, and the ball that catches the sake was a fine play.
It's so good it'll kill you. That's all I can say.
