The third group of the Sake Rice and Yeast Association is Gintome and Yuko's Idea from Iwate Prefecture. Iwate is often named after the pure-heartedness of the Tohoku region or after Kenji Miyazawa, and the rice is Gintome, which is a Gin user. Yuko, the yeast, seems to be named after the developer, Ms. Yuko Yamashita of the Iwate Prefectural Industrial Technology Center.
It is a clear, dry sake. Sake from Iwate is interesting in many ways. To be continued.

Found it when I went to Morioka for a visit.
I bought it because I enjoyed the thought of yeast yuko.
When I drank it, I found it to be very rich and robust, like a matured sake.

Tonight we had #Hyakuban Junmai Unfiltered Unrefined Nama Sake Red Label from #Iwanoi Shuzo, Ichinoseki City, Iwate Prefecture.
It is a matured sake that has been aged for 3 years in the brewery. The sweetness is like honey. It is not a heavy matured sake, but a light matured sake, so anyone can enjoy it.

I've been busy with work lately, so I've been late in posting this sake😅.
I was looking at the shelves of the liquor store thinking that I have never bought Iwate sake except Akatake and Nanbu Bijin, when I found a label I have never seen before❗️.
According to the brewery's website, it's a limited distribution product, but this is the first time I've seen it 😝.
The flavor, acidity, and aroma are all mild❣️.
At first, it was like drinking good water for a moment.
On the second day, it blossomed a bit but the mild impression remained the same 🫡.
I expected this sake to have a bit more punch because it's a nama sake, but I was wrong 😝.
I don't know, overall it's all together at a high level, but I'm not sure what kind of sake this is.
It's hard to explain what kind of sake this is when asked, so I guess there might be different likes and dislikes.
It is not a first drink, but rather a drink to be enjoyed slowly after the meal has finished and you have settled down to a certain extent.

Tonight we had #Hyakuban Junmai Ginjo Unfiltered Unrefined Nama Sake Orange Label from #Iwanoi Shuzo, Ichinoseki City, Iwate Prefecture, with green onion okonomiyaki. It is a very juicy sake with a long lingering finish. There is no bitterness or astringency, and it has a pleasant taste that goes down your throat. I like it, don't you Hyakuban😊.
