Next, Akio Yasuda, a motorcycle YouTuber, brought us some fine sake: ‼️ If you like old motorcycles, please take a look: ‼️
It tastes too classy to be a luxury sake 😋.
Perfect for a toast!
Fukushima Prefecture was at the Coop booth at the Oita event!
Dry but easy to drink. The smell is amazing. It also has sweetness.
Fukushima is delicious.
Okunomatsu Sparkling
Okunomatsu Shuzo
Alcohol content: 11% alcohol by volume
Rice polishing ratio: 50
Sake meter: -25
Acidity: 2.5
The cool, fine bubbles that burst, the fragrant ginjo aroma with a hint of sweetness, the delicious rice flavor of a Junmai Daiginjo, and the sharpness of the finish make this Okunomatsu Sparkling Sake a true sparkling sake.
As the description says, at first you think the sharpness unique to sparkling sake and the spiciness unique to this sake have passed down your throat, but then the sweetness of the rice covers your palate. I wanted to try a non-sparkling Okunomatsu.
I bought it to see what it was like since it had the world's #1 (IWC 2018) tag hanging on it.
The aftertaste is crisp and dry, but the mouthfeel is quite sweet.
The aroma is not there and the mouthfeel is refreshing.
I guess I didn't like it...
Personal Satisfaction:★☆☆☆☆
Special Junmai Namaishi version of the world competition winning sake. International Wine Challenge. Sake category.
I don't know why we ask people from other countries to rank Japanese sake and Japanese culture in the first place. In fact, it was the 16th ranked sake from Fukushima prefecture in the Sake no Wawa.
I wonder if foreigners really understand exactly how good sake tastes.
However, this sake is fruity and dry, and each of them are well combined and delicious.
