Last night was a New Year's party with a couple I met last year. We had dinner at a nice restaurant and then went to Kokubuncho. After the fourth bar, I finally had a chance to drink sake. I have known the owner of this sake bar on the outskirts of the city for about 25 years now. The lighting doesn't look like it's the kind of place you'd enjoy sake, but don't worry about that. The selection is quite good, so go for something you've never tried before. First up is Hiryu, the one with Tatsumi Fujinami's red towel. A dry sake with a refreshing yet tasty flavor, just like Mr. Shinzawa! Thank you very much for your hospitality!

My best friend gave me a small bottle to share with my last drink 😆👍. By the way, my best friend's wife recommended it to me. She likes it dry 😄. It's been a long time since I've had a dry sake, but I'm ready to try it💦. The aroma is fruity👍. I'm not a fan of too much dryness, but it was a good experience 🤗.

I know it was yesterday, but I went out for a drink with a friend✨. We had mongolian noodles and a drink after taking a day trip to a hot spring 🔥. Sorry for the continuous post format! First of all, I found "Hiryu" which I haven't had in a while. Aroma like banana and pear. Beautiful mouthfeel and balanced taste of sweet, spicy, sour and astringent. The replacement of the four tannins creates juiciness, and the spicy astringent finish makes it enjoyable both on its own and during a meal!

The last sake of the New Year's party was this one. It is a Junmai Daiginjo. It is a Junmai Daiginjo, but it has a certain sweetness with a slight spiciness, and when I thought it was similar to something, the manager told me it was from the same brewery as Hakurakusei. It was indeed a wine-like flavor, and when I thought so, it became easy to drink, and after a few sips, the umami flavor increased.
