Today is the new fiscal year. The other day, I bought a bottle at Isego's main store in Nakameguro, where I left my cherry blossom viewing earlier in the day. It has a fresh and fresh mouthfeel. Elegant sweetness and umami spread through the palate, resonating gently until the end. We will do our best to encourage good sake and food this year.

Purchased at Aoyama Mikawaya. While I was looking at all the sake I wanted to try, I bought a bottle of Jacket. It is light in the mouth and leaves a slight umami taste on the tongue. As the label says, it is a terrific sake that goes well with a meal.

Purchased at the Omotesando Niigata-kan Nespace, a Niigata antenna store in Omotesando, Tokyo. For various reasons, it came in a 300ml bottle instead of a four-pack. The bottle design looks like a tranquil forest. The moment you sip it, you will feel a slight carbonic acid stimulation and a gentle sweetness like melon soda. I wanted to enjoy this sake on its own, not with a meal.

3/14 Kamisuppan, direct from the tank, raw sake] Izumihashi Tonbo No. 7 - Raku-fu-mai, Junmai Ginjyo Purchased at the Izumihashi Sake Brewery's directly-operated store, Sauyukan. The bottle purchased was No. 061/400 of 400 bottles. This junmai ginjo is made from locally grown sake rice, Raku-fu-mai. The taste of koji rice spreads in the mouth. The last sip is slightly cloudy, which is also a nice touch. We paired it with grilled deep-fried tofu and simmered Chinese cabbage and asari.

Purchased at Omotesando - Niigata-kan Nespace, an antenna store in Niigata. I went to Omotesando to look for a bottle to give to an acquaintance. My husband bought a bottle of this brand in a black bottle, thinking it would be perfect for his acquaintance, who is also a music lover and a cat lover. The bottle had a black and red design with a sticker of a cat holding a guitar, so it was an instant decision. For home use, I bought a bottle of the same brand of nama sake. The guitar pick on the bottle is stylish ♫ It was easy to drink and almost gone in no time at all. It uses 100% Takananishiki sake rice produced locally in Itoigawa City. A portion of the proceeds will be used for animal protection activities.

This is the second bottle of Yamamoto Honke sake given to me by an acquaintance. Slight bubbles felt the moment you put it in your mouth. The taste and lingering aftertaste gradually spread out. Yesterday was the final Asian qualifying match for the World Cup against Australia. This 19% alcohol content sake went down a treat.

Purchased at the Izumihashi Sake Brewery's directly-operated store, Sake Tomokan. Sake made with "Jinriki" sake rice grown by a local contract farmer. It has a taste that slowly spreads and lingers in the mouth when drunk at room temperature, which is rare in our house. I thought it might be delicious heated up, but I finished it at room temperature.

One of two bottles of Yamamoto Honke sent to me by an acquaintance. The mouthfeel is as refreshing as water. On the first day, it tasted crisp, as the name "super dry" implies. On the second day, the flavor of koji spread slightly in the mouth. I am looking forward to the other remaining bottle.

Purchased at Nihonbashi Fukushima-kan MIDETTE. Shiboritate (freshly squeezed) brewed with a "dai-chu" (cold) brewing method. Feeling the change of the season with the cherry blossom label, we toasted to the successful completion of this year's business today. Fresh and fruity. Dangerous sake that can be drunk easily with a gentle aftertaste.

3/12 Purchased at the Yamaguchi-kan. When I drank it while it was not fully chilled, it went in easily but had a gentle aftertaste. After chilling it in the refrigerator, it has a smooth and crisp taste that makes it easy to drink. It was served with Shimonoseki piyo piyo fries.

It is the day when we crossed one more hurdle at the end of the fiscal year, and a roadmap has been set in motion on a matter that has been on the agenda for several years. I bought it at J's store, which I visit once every month or two. The moment you put it in your mouth, it feels smooth and easy. But it has a strong presence in the throat.
