Fairly discreet cherry blossom label.
I don't think you get much of a sense of maturity.
It's a low-purity, unfiltered nama-shu.
It has a thick core of umami and complexity.
The bitterness wraps around the core umami and complexity.
but it's rather refreshing.
Perhaps because it was the first sake I drank, this sake left the greatest impression on me on this day, in preference to the Jikin and Shinmasa that followed. It is a sake with a slight sense of maturity.
I can't stop drinking sake because every once in a while I come across a new great sake like this. ☺️
When you have ever drank the 袋吊 version of 王祿, you can never go back. While this version is still not bad, but it lacks the blended creaminess of that version, and a bit too mineral in feel. Need to pair with food to make it perform better.
It's been a long time since I've had Oroku!

For the record. This is the second day of my trip to Matsue. After leaving the inn, we spent a day walking around the city, visiting Horikawa, craft beer, Matsue Castle, Yakumo-nuri, and so on.
In the evening, we had "the Root" set and Thai shabu-shabu at "the Root". The sake was Oroku. It was delicious.
It has a strong umami taste. It was as good as the dark isaki in miso, and the synergistic effect made it even tastier. According to the store owner, the number of bottles is limited to 120. It was a good match.
I found 5 * direct bottles. I have only seen it in this liquor store. I understand that it is indeed the manager of the store.
I went home and drank it deliciously. I think it has a unique and deep taste with a unique change in flavor until it is swallowed. It is a bottle, so let's drink it slowly!
