The label design rocks!
A whale in Biwako? Of course not. It's impossible. It is said that the name of the sake is "unbelievably delicious...".
Oh, I see 🤔.
I'll have to try that! I'll have to try it 😆🍶💕
I don't know if it's impossible, but it's a delicious sake with a pineapple-like sweetness and just a hint of spiciness!
I heard that it is recommended to drink it on the rocks with a lot of gusto, but it was also delicious as it was dark and undiluted.
Thank you very much for the treat!
Thank you for your comment, Takubon-san😄I see that Kitajima is delicious! I've never seen this brand before and I'm excited about it, but I couldn't bring it home because of the limited space in my fridge, so I'd like to try Kitajima next time we meet. I'll try Kitajima next time we meet 🐳.
Gidai Sakae Nattami Aragoshi Junmai Dobu 2860 (4-unit bottle)
My wife was so impressed with the nigori sake we had last year that we bought another bottle this year. It is still delicious when drunk on its own. But tonight we compared four different kinds! They were all so delicious, but when we compared them, they all had their own unique characteristics, and it was hard to choose one over the other. I would rank this one as No. 3.
Shiga Prefecture
Moromi Araogoshi Junmai Dobu
Alcohol 15%.
It has a very thick mouthfeel, but the alcohol content is low and it is easy to drink. It is very easy to drink and tasty compared to its alcohol content.
I have recently become addicted to nigori sake.
I think it goes well with rich dishes.
I like it with strawberry daifuku and spaghetti with oyster cream.
This is the first time I've had nigori sake from Mitayoe, but I think it is my favorite because it is well-balanced.
It has a strong taste of sakekasu and seems to be good for beauty and health.
It is a quaint sake brewery along the Tokaido Highway. It has a citrusy acidity, as is typical of new sake. It tastes more settled after a few days than when it is just opened. It is a wonder!
Dense Unrefined Sake
Really dense nigori sake!
Dense but very easy to drink...delicious!
But as stated on the label, it was not a sake to drink many cups of during a meal because of the concept of taking nutrients from the sake.
A sake to be drunk slowly and carefully.
Good evening, Mr. Cheng Bite Jin🍶.
I am glad to hear that you are a fan of Miyoroei.
I was allowed to drink it with other sake at a tasting and sale before. Please give it a try 😋.
This is the first time I've had this, Gidai Sakae. The Aragoshidobu was very good, so I'll try the others when I find them! I will also try it with sake 😋.
A small bottle purchased at a supermarket in the travel destination.
It was not drunk on site and returned home.
It is dry but has a sweet taste. Or maybe some people feel it's sweet. What is it? Is it sweet?
It has a concentrated flavor.
Certainly, it has a smooth mouthfeel.
Since it is stored fresh, the flavor is similar to that of aged sake.
It goes well with tuna sashimi, but the sweetness may be a little too much.
Tataki of bonito, not too bad, not too bad.
Grilled sea bream and salmon, neither too good nor too bad.
Red fish and swordfish, simmered in soy sauce. It goes well with the rich seasoning.
It is sweet on the palate, or so I thought for a moment, but then it just snapped. It is a type of junmai sake that I have not had very often and it is quite delicious☺️.
My first Japanese sake: "Biwako-no-Whale" raw sake from Midai Sake-brewery in Shiga Prefecture. The first impression is of honeydew melon and ripe bananas, and the unpasteurized, direct-filled sake is slightly sparkling, which makes it a delight to drink chilled in summer.
As the temperature rises, it brings out tropical fruits such as pineapple! The sweet taste is a disguise for 20 degrees of alcohol, and the brain is already anesthetized before the tongue reacts...and falls asleep.
The name comes from the fact that there are no whales in Lake Biwa, and the wine is so magical that it seems like it should not exist in the world. It's a beautiful symbolism.
