[The 2nd Bishu Competition Grand Tasting (11)
This is the only booth not on the "Jizake Tourism" side, but on the "Bishu Competition" side.
HAKKIN - "HAKKIN ANOTHER".
A fruity aroma with a sour taste, a firm umami taste with a modern sweetness, a sharp finish, and a dry, refreshing aftertaste.
HAKKINO was awarded a gold medal for HAKKINO METHOD LURAL in the sparkling category of the current competition ✨.
The aroma is melon-like with a hint of sweetness.
After the taste, which is mainly rice flavor, it finishes with an alcohol taste that tightens up the taste.
It is neither too bright nor too mild, just the right sake that can be drunk without being overbearing.

At first, we were told that if there was any leftover alcohol, we could take it home...
But we wanted to make a toast with sparkling wine, so we started with a toast with candles brought by Umaisan.
This time, there was no professional to open the bottle, so those who brought their own bottle opened it by themselves.
It was a crowned type, so it took a second to open and then it spurted out 💦.
It tasted sweet and sour, like it wasn't sake!
It tasted like a cider like the one I had at the Japanese Sake Festival.
Hello bouken 😀
Yesterday, I was very impressed by the many sakes I had never had before 😀.
This cider-like sparkling sake was also a first for me, but it was a perfect start for a drinking party😇.
Thank you bouken for your hard work yesterday❗This was really delicious ✨It was hot so the taste soaked up even more ❤😆💕Happening when opening it 😁💨💨 was a fun memory 🎵
Hi bouken 😃
I'm a member of the "Bring Your Own" party in Kansai. Bring your own offline meeting ‼️ and have 🥂 spark for toast 🥂 👍I'm sure there will be a lot of rage under the heading "If there's any alcohol left..." 😆.
Hello bouken😃Thank you so much for yesterday😊Your love for bouken (especially from Yasbaye) was bursting out of you ❤️ This one was really strange, nutty aftertaste from the cider, delicious 😋.
Good evening, bouken-san😄!
Thank you for your hard work at the Sakai Sakai bring-your-own off-line meeting!
I'm glad to hear that it was a drunken party with all the great sake you drooled over and everyone seemed to enjoy talking about it 😊.
We have to be careful with the jetlagged explosive drinks 😁.
Good evening, bouken 🌛.
I knew you were the one who brought in the "Candle, Methode Rural" 😁.
I'm so glad to hear that you gave it a high rating as a "Candle" local ✨.
Maru, thanks for your help the other day 🙋.
It was a 🍎feeling that you could drink it like juice 😋 interesting taste difference with the lees at the bottom 😁.
I'm enjoying the bring off 😆.
Good evening, Jay & Nobby.
We are from the Kansai region 🤣The sparkling wine was prepared by the good Mr. Umaisan 😁.
Yes, as mentioned in Wakata's post, we had a lot of drinks and food, and the scale was not long enough, so we had to extend it quickly 🤣.
Good evening, Mr. Aladdin.
It was a very drunken party in the true sense of the word 🤣.
The drinks that everyone brought were really great and the tension was up↑↑↑😁Is it impossible to open the crown sparkling without spewing? 🤔
Good evening, Mr. Jaive.
We toasted with Fukui sake 🥂.
I drank it at the Japanese sake festival and it was as delicious as ever 😋I got to love Fukui 🥰 from Osaka 😊.
Fukui Reinetsu Trip in Summer (2)
A 3-day/2-night trip based on the Echizen coast.
On the second day, a footbath at Awara Onsen (hot spring), Tojinbo, Borgara rice, and a sake brewery are called "Hana Candle".
The sake is served lightly chilled.
The aroma is of ripe apples with a hint of barley.
The overall taste is light and smooth.
The nose has a soft apple-like sweetness, followed by a brandy-like smokiness, and the taste of rice cake. The aftertaste is bitter with a sharp acidity that gradually fades away with an astringent taste that lingers on the tongue.
The peak of sweetness and umami, which changes from soft sweetness to smoky and thickens, is followed by an astringent finish that is interesting.
After a day of drinking, the smokiness settles down and the sake becomes lighter and easier to drink.
On the second day, we enjoyed a leisurely evening drink while watching the sunset on the Echizen coast and re-searing grilled mackerel sushi.
I can't tell you how happy I am to spend the time leisurely as the sun sets and the moon turns to a crescent moon 💕.
And all the while pretending to be a stylish dinnertime drinker,
In fact, I made the painful mistake of forgetting to bring a sake cup this time.
I'm drinking from the big mug provided in the cottage😅.
Hi Hirupeko, I'm with you 😃.
Volga rice! Looks hearty and delicious 😋.
After the sunset on the first day 🌅, we had a stylish time with grilled mackerel on the second day 🥹....but then we had a big mug 🥛 for dinner 🤣 what a relief 😁.
Thank you, Jay & Nobby! The Volga rice was so big that it made me feel like a glutton 🤣I'm like me when I think I'm staying at a cottage and I accidentally forget the boar cup 😅.
Hi Hirupeko, good evening here too 🌛.
Actually, the locals don't eat Volga Rice as much as they say 💦.
They do eat "oroshi-soba" and "chuka-soba" though 🤔.
Hi Gyve. I asked the owner about the origin of Volga Rice and he was like I'm the first person to ask that question 😅 so I guess it must be so 😅 that's part of the good trip 😊.
Good evening, Hirupeco!
Delicious local food, magnificent scenery, and cold drinks in the heat... what a dream trip 🤩.
I envy you ‼️
I wish you a great day tomorrow too 🙏.
Hello Nobu Nobu-san. I was so impressed that even just the free footbath at Awara Onsen can make you feel like you are in a hot spring. ♨️ It was a very satisfying trip to Echizen, where I thoroughly enjoyed the nature, food, and drinks! Today and tomorrow will be great days for sure😊.
I bought this at a Japanese sake festival.
I bought it because it can be heated.
It has a light freshness that is typical of a freshly stored sake, but it also has a rich and somewhat ripe taste.
It definitely tastes better when heated and is juicy!
The aroma is also very pleasant!
It's interesting to note that they also have a heated version of their honjozo sake!
I heard that the brewery is located in Sabae, but I used to go to Sabae just to see the spring water and never drop a penny, so I was able to atone for my sins by buying it here!
Adult travel to Hofu, Yamaguchi
In the past, there used to be an abundance of sake breweries, but now there is only one.
The 8th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower (2)
Fukui Prefecture's "Hwasoku" booth.
I was disappointed that they didn't have the special limited edition sake they brought before, but the nice helping staff was kind enough to help me out 😁.
Thank you very much, Umaumai 🙇.
Hana Candle Sparkling Methode Rurale]
The most popular sparling. Sweet and sour, but not too sweet.
ANOTHER-KURO One-Stage Brewing
The brewer said it was sold out because they were told that this year's production was better than last year's. Last year's was just bitter and awful. It is sweet but surprisingly not that sweet.
ANOTHER-SHIRO- 40% malted rice brewing.
I think it had a pineapple taste before, but this time it didn't leave much of an impression.
The warmed-up ginjo Chunchunchunchunchunchun.
In Fukui dialect, "very hot" is called "chunchun. I think it would have tasted good even without being heated.
Hanashoku Junmai Namaisouzou
It has a strong umami flavor and is easy to pair with a meal.
Candle Junmai Daiginjo Kurauchi Hizokura Shu 50
It was drunk and left no impression even though it was a secret collection.
I visited twice, and the second time I was too drunk to remember...
Hi Jive, ☀Hello ☀Your expression of hot as chun chun is cute 😊The brewer of the candles was friendly and talked a lot with me 👍I haven't had heated sake yet 😅.
Good evening, Nemuchi!
I already miss you👍✨Thank you for coming to our festival in the heat of the day 😽You mean me, the kind, witty, mischievous and beautiful staff 🤣Oh no, I'm going to get arrested😅.
Good evening, good evening 🌛I've already received an email inviting me to the next one in November 🤣Will you join us again with your kind, witty, mischievous and beautiful staff? 😁The cycle of holding Japanese sake festivals is too fast😅.
The 8th Japanese Sake Festival at Osaka Bay Tower ②
Hana Shonoyo Sake Brewery
I had heard of the name, but this was my first time to visit the brewery.
Umaisan was staffing a booth here 😳.
I guess that's why he visited this booth so many times and drank all kinds of sake 😁.
I drank
Sparkling Methode Rurale
It was one of the first bottles, so I was able to drink it freshly opened 😋.
It was sweet and sour like a cider 😋.
I was allowed to drink only the lees part afterwards, but it was like adding alcohol to apple juice 🍎.
ANOTHER-KURO - single-stage brewing
Sour but not too sweet, just the right balance.
ANOTHER-SHIRO - 40% malted rice brewing
It was sweeter than Ichidan.
Diving heated ginjo-chunchunchunchun
It is said to be exclusively for kanning. It was also delicious at room temperature.
Junmai Daiginjyo Kurauchi Hidarashi-shu 50
It was smoky just like the pamphlet said it would be.
Junmai Namaisake
This sake was not on the list. It was quite refreshing and less impressive than the other sakes from this brewery...
I think it's also the order in which we drank them 🤔
All of this brewery's sake was Gohyakumangoku.
The 4th picture is of Umaisan and the brewery of Hana Candle
Good evening, bouken-san 🌛.
How did you like "Hana Candle" by Yutaka Sake Brewery? I'm sure you'll love it 😁.
The brewery is close to my house so I'll bring it to you anytime you want it ✨.
I haven't had "ANOTHER" yet though 💦.
Hi bouken 🐦.
Looks like you are having so much fun! I can imagine from your stamped face and the smiling face of the brewer 😆.
It's fun too, with all the different flavors 😊👍.
Gyve, good evening 😃.
I liked ANOTHER and sparkling 😋.
I'm curious about the draft since there was no draft sake this time 🤔.
More Fukui sake to drink 🤣.
The 8th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower (・ω・`)
Chunchun means like hot in Fukui.
It's so cute!
First of all, it is beautiful when served cold and has a ginjo aroma, but it is quite dry and hard!
Then we went to the heated section and tried it at 55 degrees, just as the label says.
The flavor and aroma increase without changing the character of the taste!
This is the best choice for heated ginjo sake!
It's a little disappointing when it's lukewarm, but hot is better!
The guy who heated it for me asked me if it was okay to drink in hot weather. The guy who warmed the sake asked me if it was okay in the hot weather, but I was still drawn to the heated sake corner!
I was going to buy the last one, but they didn't have it, so I decided to buy a bottle of Nama-Seikyu.
I've been paying attention to the Ikusame since last year when I was impressed by the Kujyu Sakura Ikusame, and I was told it was good for heated sake, so I bought it without trying it!
The aroma is subdued yet gorgeous. The pungency of the alcohol is moderate, with a fruity sweetness and a slight acidity. The mouthfeel is slightly thickened, and the aftertaste is refreshing.
Alcohol level 16%.
Japanese alcohol content: Somewhat low
Acidity Slightly low
Star ⭐️⭐️⭐️
