Wednesday is sake day! Today we open a bottle of sake that we found at an antenna store in Yamaguchi 🍶.
G# Gohashi G# Junmai Ginjo
Sake rice: 100% Yamadanishiki produced in Yamaguchi prefecture
Yeast: Yamaguchi Yamahai yeast
Pour: 14% (served at room temperature)
Nose: Banana-like with caramelized notes
Mouthfeel: Lightly sweet with a slight tangy stimulation
Medium: Mainly umami with gentle stimulation
Aftertaste: Dry and sharp.
It is a classic type of sake, but it is easy to drink and has a modern feel with a slight piquancy.
It has been a long time since I have had a good cold sake. It went well with motsu nabe (hot pot)!
Preference score: 8.0/10
Aroma: 1.5|Mouthfeel: 1.5|Medium: 1.5|Final taste: 1.5|Price: 2.0
Today's second stop is Sakai Sake Brewery in Itsukashi 😀!
At this brewery, we were allowed to sample everything from the gold medal winning Daiginjos to Fives, and we were in drunk mode from the morning 🤣.
Personally, I prefer the Junmai Ginjo Saito no Shizuku, which I have had several times😇.
I bought a bottle of NOTEN, which is brewed from the summer rice crop by the brewery, and a newly made FIVE white 😇.
During the tasting, Mr. Nakaso Toji, whom I have met several times, came out to meet me and asked me what was next, and when I told him I was going to visit Kinkan Kuromatsu, he agreed to drive me all the way there😇.
Thank you so much 🙏!
Sake purchased at the Takashimaya Sake Festival (3㌥)
I bought this sake because it was the most popular and the last one among the various frozen fresh sake.
It was fresh, sweet and spicy. I think it might be the spiciest Gobashi I've ever had 🤔.
It's refreshing and fruity when I drink it again.
It's hard to tell, but the label has snowflakes on it, and I thought the embossing on it was very elaborate 👀.
The polar bear that's frozen asleep is cute too 🐻❄️
Hi bouken 🐦.
I thought it wasn't a raccoon, it's because it's a frozen sleep 😊I'll at least sample it when I see this label 😻.
I zoomed in and found ❄️! It's beautiful ✨
Good evening, Ponchan.
They freeze the entire bottle immediately after filling it, so it's like a freeze sleep 💤.
I was told there was no tasting but I bought it without tasting at Gobashi for peace of mind and trust 😁.
It's beautiful and I use the bottle for transfers ✨️
Low-Al Series (iii)
The characteristic color is due to red yeast.
It looks like strawberry milk, but it is elegant, moderately sweet and has a nice schwashy taste, and looks good as an aperitif.
My favorite degree ★★★★☆
◎Sake Day! So we decided on something we have never had before at Gobashi.
It is a sake from Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Although it does not have the fruity taste of today's sakes, it is mild for a dry sake, and it lived up to its reputation as a food sake.
It seemed to be a sake that could be drunk with any kind of snacks, and it seemed to be well received, as people in their 30s spontaneously drank more and more.
At first, I read it as "Z? but the waiter corrected me and said it was "Five".
It is indeed junmai dry and strong. It is a type of sake that cannot be drunk very much (in a good sense).
