Saku Sightseeing Part 2
After purchasing Kame-no-umi, we went to Usuda station and walked a little to Saku-no-Hana Sake Brewery. I bought this sake, which was recommended as a refreshing sake in this hot season!
The rice used was Hitogokochi, and the yeast was Nagano D yeast.
The aroma is fruity, with a hint of melon or muscat. It has a slightly chili pepper flavor with a sweet mouthfeel! However, the bitterness and acidity in the latter half of the bottle make it easy to drink without feeling too sweet. ✨️
I enjoyed it because it is a sake that can be enjoyed as a mealtime sake.
Chikuma River flows nearby, and on the other side of the river is a strange rocket-shaped observatory 🚀.
Gorgeous ginjo aroma.
The gasiness is quite strong. The balance of the delicious acidity and bitterness is slightly bitter. Fresh, with a balance of sweetness and bitterness and a slightly higher alcohol content, it also has a dry feel. 😋😋😋😋
Sweetness and spiciness are medium.
It is a sake that goes well with strong flavored dishes.

Oh no!
I'm in Nagano starting Monday. It's off-season right now, or maybe last minute, but I was able to secure a room with my favorite mattress at my favorite inn at a great price: ✌️
So, there are no people at the usual standing bar 😔I heard that there are not many customers on Mondays, and the owner says that he can't get tired after a day off, so I wonder if he might be closed on Mondays too. I was worried that Monday might be closed as well...
I was hoping to find some of Yamazan's Junmai Daiginjo Aizan left, but I heard it was gone in an instant, so I had the freshly brewed Saku no Hana Aizan. The spiciness comes first, followed by a bit of sweetness from the Aizan, and soon the bitterness arrives. It is strong! It is very drinkable and delicious.
I found a Kinmon-nishiki that was not on the menu, so I asked if I could try it. I asked and was given a 🙆♀️ to compare. This one is strong from the start! Almost no sweetness! But this one was delicious too, and I wondered if I should be so happy after the first two cups 😁.
Yamasan had Yamadanishiki, which everyone has been drinking recently, so I tried it. It was refreshing and my mouth felt like it was back to normal😊.
I thought about drinking at the hotel, but I'm glad I came out.
Urasakunohana Dry Ginjo Unfiltered Straight Kettle 720ml
Rice used: Hitogokochi
Rice polishing ratio: 59
Alcohol content: 18%.
This bottle arrived from Shimizuya.
The main attraction is Honkinbiai active nigori. The next batter of Kitaan Okuni was sold out and arrived with Iyari, two Yamasan, and Kurosawa Natsuo.
We thought we could make a one-day trip to Shinshu on Saturday, but we had it delivered by TA-Q-BIN.
After the light sweet fruity Shigaizumi, it was a bit dry with a strong alcohol taste.
However, after the second glass or so, it was a dangerous sake that I could drink without any resistance.
When I finished it, I could clearly see the kanji character for "Sakunohana" in the bottle! and the kanji characters are clearly visible.
The label is reversed because it is the backside of the sake brewing process, and because it is a summer sake, it is called "Urasakunohana. I see.
Hi @Mizuhashi 🐦.
I didn't know "back" had such a meaning 😳I'll check it out 😳I guess it means that "back" is common in the coming season! That's very elegant 🎐.
Good evening, Pon-chan 🌆.
I think each brewer has a different intention behind it, but I have seen a few sake stores that say Sakunohana is a summer sake 😄.
I think there are many breweries that simply have a different ver 😅
I'd buy it if I saw the back label~!
It's tasty and a little spicy.
Not too sweet and tasty,
I drank it one day at a time and it tasted good all the way through without any change in flavor.
The reason I bought this sake,
I bought it at the information center when I was hiking in the mountains and saw that it was made in Nagano Prefecture,
And it was so delicious that I thought it was a kind of soul food.
And it was delicious,
I would have been happy with Oshinshu or Masumi, both of which are easily available, but I had never had them before, so I went with this sake,
