Speaking of heated sake, we have Shinkame and Hikosago today!
When I was a new employee (25 years ago 😅), my boss at the time recommended a heated Shinkame sake and I was hooked 😋.
I was in Saitama at the time, so I could get it anywhere and drank it often.
The managing director at the time (a very famous person) passed away and was replaced by a new one, but the taste has not changed and they have been making good sake ever since 🥰.
It tastes great chilled, but it really shows its true value when heated 😋.
It's not flashy, but it's very relaxing 🥰.
I enjoyed it with iburi gakko 😋.

I drank Shinkame's Sweet Squash outside the other day! It was delicious 😋.
In February, Shinkame Shuzo was at a nearby department store and I tasted a variety of their sake and liked it, but did not buy it because there was still some Shinkame left at that time.
At that time, I was told that Hikomago was a 100% Yamadanishiki version of Shinkame.
The other day, I went to the same department store and found both Shinkame and Hikoson on the shelf, so I ended up buying Hikoson.
Once again, I realized that Yamada-Nishiki is a rice that is sweet and pleasant to the palate when made into sake.
In the winter, I think I will be drinking Hikomago or Shinkame warmed up as a regular. I'm going to enjoy it until it gets a little warmer and look forward to buying the next one before the end of the year.

First aged sake. My first Shinkame.
I knew it was famous for its heated sake, but it was so good! It is impressively good both at room temperature and heated! It has a unique sweetness and umami that may not be to everyone's liking! It's as good as it gets!
I wonder if other breweries have such good aged sake? I would like to try many other breweries!
