My first Hiroshima sake in a while is my favorite, Houken, a super dry sake with a cool red label.
The sweetness is restrained and the acidity of the Hachitan-Nishiki produced in Hiroshima Prefecture is effective. As the name suggests, it is crisp and dry. It goes well with meals and is an ideal dry sake.
Lightly fragrant with peach perfume, coconut, and other sweet aromas.
Contains a glossy and smooth texture.
Elegant.
Pineapple-like acidity and,
Not raw, but faintly fruity.
It continues with a tight, rice-like flavor.
The spiciness is sharp and the acidity is sharp.
You may want to have a bit of sake with it.
It is deliciously spicy.
It has a somewhat young and youthful image for a Houken.
Degree of liking ☆3.5/5
It is said to be a sake that was sold for the local market, Hiroshima Prefecture. It is said to be a blend of Junmai-shu based on Hachitan-Nishiki with the offensive aspects of Junmai-Daiginjo and Junmai-Ginjo 🤗.
It was a refreshing sake with a light, light alu feel, classical with a hint of greeful citrus, a hint of sweetness and richness, and a slightly more modern, mid-palate, refreshing taste 😚.
Good evening, Kotori-san. I've been drinking Houken Retro Label! I like the balance of flavor that can be enjoyed both chilled and heated, and I'm glad Kotori-san is drinking it too 😊.
Good morning, Hirupeco 🐥.
We have a small amount in stock only once a year! I was so excited to see that it is a blend of junmai, jundai and jungin 💕It was a great match with fish dishes and the synergy of the deliciousness 👍🏻 😉.
It has a classic type of taste, with a dry flavor and alcohol unity, plus a hint of sweetness that makes you want to drink it slowly. It is very tasty.
Houken Retro Label was distributed only locally in Hiroshima. Based on a junmai sake made from local Hachitan-Nishiki, it is bottled with a blend of junmai daiginjo-shu and junmai ginjo-segmented sake. It has a great balance of rice flavor and just the right amount of sharpness! Enjoy it cold or lukewarm with fish dishes, sashimi, or simmered dishes.
