It has a fruity smell with a hint of koji. It is slightly carbonated, has a wooden vat feel, is sweet and sour, and has a pleasantly sour lemon-like acidity that comes later and finishes off without the stimulation of alcohol. Yum! It is a fruit wine. The taste in the middle is also strong! It starts to get sweet, but it blends in and you don't mind it. It did not go well with food. It is a surprise taste that works well on its own.

I drank a lot of drinks until I got to Iko, but I had guests over at my house that day, so I opened a lot of things 😇. I didn't think I could buy it, but when I went to Kyoto, Takimoto had a bottle. I think it was sold by lottery at Horiichi in Nagoya. It has a strong gassy taste among all the Takachiyos I have had so far. It has a sweet flavor of strawberries and berries. It's easy to drink because of its low alcohol content. It's a little too light and not enough for my taste though😅.

Last night we had a Takachiyo party.... It has a juicy sweetness with a fruity aftertaste. It is a well-made sake. The snack was grilled crown chicken with sansho (Japanese pepper).

Takachiyo Junmai Daiginjo Orikarami (Halloween Werewolf) Halloween version of Niigata's Takachiyoh Junmai Daiginjo Orikagarami The label is cute, isn't it? Not so cloudy as orikagarami, but sweetness and aroma like pineapple and citrus! Fresh and delicious! I enjoyed it with cheese!
