I was out buying yesterday and got 14 on 4/1 due to a chance encounter with a liquor store!
I was very impressed with the April encounter, but at the same time, the real problem of inventory came up, so I opened a bottle of "Saku" that I had been saving for today👍.
When I opened the bottle and poured it, the aroma was elegant and gorgeous, with hints of muscat and melon.
The mouthfeel is smooth and clear. The melon-like aroma that comes through the nose and wraps around the tongue with a soft touch of beauty. After the gorgeousness is gone, the umami of the rice, which is mainly a soft sweetness with a sense of plumpness, spreads.
Then, the acidity and astringency gradually appear, and the wine is pulled up smoothly and beautifully!
It's been a while since I've had "Saku" at home, but the taste does not betray my expectations and I'm smitten.
This month is going to be busy, but I think I can get through it with the power of sake 🔥.
