Sake from Hayashi Sake Brewery in Toyama. We have many opportunities to seek out the familiar "Hayashi" in a bottle, but we received this commemorative sake when it was released.
The brewery has won the Kanazawa Regional Taxation Bureau's Honor Award for 10 consecutive years, and this is this year's "Honor Award-winning sake. With a rice polishing ratio of 35%, this sake is beyond the level of the sake I usually drink.
It has a soft mouthfeel with a hint of thickening in the mouth.
As it is an aruze sake, the aroma is well down to the sake, and a fruity sweet aroma like pears softly escapes from the nose.
There is no bitterness, and a refreshing acidity finishes it off.
At this level, it is more of a stand-alone wine to be savored as "delicious" than to be paired with something else.
We hope many "Hayashi fans" will enjoy this sake.
6/10
I recently ran the Kurobe Meisui Marathon.
It was a great event, and the people of the town were very warm and supportive.
The Kurobe Meisui water after the run was delicious.
So after the marathon and a hot spring bath, the drink of choice would have to be Kurobe Gorge.
It is a classic light sake with a refreshing sharpness.
It was a good sake to drink while feeling comfortable and tired.
Store Drinking.
The color is clear.
Sweetness and umami of rice🌾 on the palate. It does not have a fruity sweetness.
The impression is tight, as is typical of Hokuriku sake.
The texture on the palate is firm, and the throat is clear and thick.
I felt this sake is the royal road to light, dry sake.
Toyama Eki-naka Sake Bar 8
Kurobekyo Junmai Ginjo Nama Sake
We started drinking around 3pm and got tipsy. ☺️
Let's go home while it's still light. The last one was Kurobekyo. I think I like this more than Hayashi because it is more fruity.
We left without stopping at the second bar 😄.
Next time, they will open a sake bar in September. ☺️
Good morning, @Mizuhashi 😃.
I see there is a good standing bar in Toyama station 🤗Toyama sake 🍶 six in a row! Looks like a lot of things I've never had before 😋.
Good morning, Jay & Nobby 🌞.
This is not a permanent bar, it's a guerrilla stall at events😃.
The sake wholesaler and the brewery themselves sell their products 😆 I wish they had a permanent location 😃.
