Yesterday was spring sake, today Masumi Suzumisake is summer sake ☀☀☀.
I heard it goes well with summer dishes, but since the season is still spring, I'll drink it with bamboo shoots and Japanese butterbur.
It's refreshingly fresh, moderately sweet with fresh fruit and citric acidity.
It's my kind of delicious summer sake that doesn't focus only on the acidity!
Masumi is good too, after all!
Postscript
I think the acidity gets stronger as time goes by.
This is a freshly squeezed, unpasteurized sake made with Miyamanishiki. It was explained that it is fresh and goes well with western food. It smells quite nice. Fragrant and fruity? Lychee? Muscat? I absolutely love the aroma! I thought I would like it, but I actually liked it a lot. Not too sweet, not too light, dry but fruity, refreshing and infinitely drinkable. I would like to pair it with western food as well: 🙆♀️
