Masumi from Suwa City, Nagano Prefecture. I checked and found that the last time I drank Masumi was five years ago. I checked and found that the last time I drank Masumi was five years ago, before the start of Sake-no-wa and when I did not know much about Japanese sake.
Drinking it again, I found it to be a sake of the royal road. It has the freshness and crispness of new sake, yet it is full-bodied with a solid structure and is very drinkable.
It was a perfect pairing with the Fukuoka chicken mizutaki we ordered.
