Toyokuni Shuzo, Ishikawa-gun, Fukushima Prefecture Ippoki Junmai Genshu
It is a sake that never changes, never betrayed, and although it is a royalty, it is a sake that is hard to find.
To be honest, I have drunk it many times. But it is still delicious!
Tonight, I'll drop a timely drink once in a while 🍶.
Ippoumi Hisoku 2025BY✨
It's been a while since Ippouki. It is 100% Fukunoka sake.
When the bottle is opened, the aroma is of fresh green apple fruit and brown rice-like smokiness.
This is the second one from a senior member of the Fukushima community. In fact, his latest guess is this one. He said, "I think it's a good idea to take a step back. It seems to be a good idea. Not rushing, not rushing, and not loosening up. Good words for us retirees. Fruity sweetness and acidity? This is delicious. I want to drink more. Made with Fukushima sake rice, Yume no Kou.
It's insanely delicious (tears).
I was so impressed~! I got hooked on sake because of Ippou myself, and the feelings I had at that time came back to me at once!
Only Ippou-self can surpass Ippou-self...! I felt that I was the only one who could surpass myself...!

More acidic and fruity than Junmai
Pleasant ginjo aroma
Gentle balance of sweetness and acidity
Very good taste differentiation and refinement as per the grade

As is typical of junmai sake, it has a strong umami flavor.
It reminds me of the Ura-hayagi I drank before, which has a distinct flavor.
It has umami, but naturally not too strong, and has a well-balanced taste with sweetness.
A versatile mid-meal sake that goes well with dishes with strong flavors.
Good cost performance

I remember that the Junmai and the nigori were very good, so when I found the Junmai Ginjo, I immediately took it home.
It was aromatic and refreshing on the palate, but it also had a delicious umami flavor and a bitterness that is typical of Ippodo.
It is a perfect food sake and would go well with anything. Thank you very much for the drink.
Slightly wilder than Uraba Yanagi.
Easy to drink with any accompaniment.
Compared to Cho, it is more refined.
Toyokuni Shuzo's sake has a unique character depending on the price grade, which makes it enjoyable.
Slightly sweet and elegant sake. Delicious, but I wonder if it chooses the right accompaniments? I still don't know what goes well with sweet sake (T_T)
One-step-self limited edition sake released since 2024
Autumn = hiyaoroshi! I headed to a local bar and found a never-before-seen Ippouki sake in stock, which I bought with my brain dead. I'll buy it again next time....
It doesn't have the tingling sensation of the unfiltered raw Ibuki, but it's still delicious. (I think I prefer it to the usual Ippo Mi!).
I think it has a sweeter taste than the unfiltered Nama Ibuki. It has a strong astringent aftertaste that goes well with food.
It has a slight melon aroma.
It's been a while since I bought a bottle of sake, but it's still the best sake I've ever tasted!
Today's sake is a junmai sake from Toyokuni Shuzo in Fukushima, Japan: ❗️
The aroma is a faintly sweet junmai aroma❗️As you take a sip, you'll notice a mild texture, followed by a sharp astringency on the tip of the tongue❗️And then the sweet aroma leaves your nose❗️❗️Good, sake⭕️
