Tonight's "Eel Skewers and Small Dishes Hayakawa" was a non-event day, but I continued to enter the restaurant from last night in search of my first encounter with sake😅.
When poured into a glass, it was a cloudy white sake with a slight fruity aroma.
It has a faintly fruity aroma, and in the mouth it is mild and slightly dry with a pleasant acidity.
After Hayakawa, we went to IWASAKI, an Italian restaurant participating in the event, for the first time to enjoy a set of wine and snacks, and for the last event ticket, we went to Studio One, a casual music bar, for the first time to enjoy the atmosphere.
Chigasaki Hayakawa: 20251029
Gurutonami Chigasaki Motomachi 2025 Autumn
Wakaevis, Claudie.
Slightly niggly and slightly effervescent, 15° sweet and modern. Easy to drink. Rumune.
I thought the label popped and matched the content.
Aono comes from the fact that it was brewed in a "blue tank" in the Ao district of Iga City.
The name "Aono" is derived from a haiku by Matsuo Basho, a native of Iga: "Let a man take his age, but always be a young Ebisu.
There are many interesting interpretations of the haiku.
Personally, I prefer the theory that "Ebisu-sama makes us take a year off every New Year, so Ebisu-sama is always young.
Hatsu Ebisu, a local custom to celebrate the New Year by wearing Ebisu-sama masks, and Hirukoya, a sake brewery across the street from the former inn business, asked to exchange their businesses. The business is complex, including Waka Ebisu, since the owner is now younger.

Purchased at a local liquor store. It is a sparkling & nigori (cloudy & cloudy) sake with a sweetness that is typical of nama-zake. It is easy to drink and a bottle goes quickly.
