sakedetroit300ml. Although not quite as sugary sweet as other low-grade sparkling sake sold in the U.S., it is still nothing to really get excited over. Decent small-bubble carbonation leads to a pleasantly crisp mouthfeel. 7% ABV.
sakedetroit300ml. Very earthy, strong flavors coming off of this JG. 15-16% ABV.
sakedetroit300ml. Impressive marketing, with the unique bottle, label, and cloth on top of the cap. Label is a bit too "busy" for my tastes, and totally eschews the traditional labeling format used in Japan (not always a bad thing for foreign markets, but a bit much here).
Inside we find a very tasty JDG, light-bodied with notes of pear and melon. A bit expensive to drink on the regular (this 300ml was $20.99), but a delicious treat on occasion.
sakedetroit720 ml. Very mild, drinkable junmai -- one of the better ones I've had lately. Same quality level as the previously reviewed Sōtō Junmai, but without the mild alcohol bite at the end (despite the slightly higher ABV of 14.9%).
sakedetroit720 ml. Like the bottle. The text on the label is a bit scattered, but it works OK (although tough to find the information usually found easily on more traditional designs). Taste is pretty decent, although with a bit of alcohol on the back-end (despite the relatively mild 14% ABV).
sakedetroit300 ml. Cheap, sugary sparkling sake at 7% ABV. Way too sweet, with very faint carbonation.
sakedetroit300 ml. Ugly, cheap-looking label. Sake was unimpressive overall, but it was one of the only namazakes available in the area. No bottling date visible, so I'm wondering if it is old stock that has gone bad...

sakedetroit300 ml. Low ABV (13.5%), watery junmai sake with not much in terms of taste, but easily drinkable.
sakedetroit720 ml. Nothin special, but better than the Hakutsuru nigorizake that was also available at Costco. Notes of melon. Quite sweet.
sakedetroit720 ml. Very full-bodied junmai, but wasn't as impressed with the flavor versus other junmai sakes during our most recent tasting session.
sakedetroit720 ml. Very standard, unremarkable nigorizake. 12.5% alcohol, quite sweet on the tongue.
sakedetroit300 ml. A very full-bodied JDG, much heavier than even many JG sakes I have tasted recently. A bit surprising -- tasted more like a junmai. Bit pricey at $15/bottle.

sakedetroit720 ml. Perfectly decent junmai sake. Noticed it on a local Asian restaurant menu and had it there, so decided to give a full bottle a try. Good price for a decent drink (around $12), but nothing special.
sakedetroit720 ml. My favorite of the last tasting bunch, very full bodied, rich flavor full of woody and cocoa notes. Higher alcohol percentage shows (16.9%).
sakedetroit720 ml. Full-bodied, and a favorite of multiple people at the last tasting. Nice combination of English/Japanese on the label.
sakedetroit720 ml. Light, dry, notes of pear. Delicious to pair with fish, cheese, etc.
