こるね＜Refreshingly gorgeous and superbly crafted.
The best of the standard of Gakki Masamune. It's the best of the best of Gakki Masamune. It's not in the product name, but it's a Honjozo with added alcohol and no filtration or water. It has been a long time.
The aroma, yikes! The sweet and refreshing rhumminess spreads out in a gorgeous fluffy way, making me happy.
When you put it in your mouth, you can taste the subtle sweetness and bitterness. And the carbonation is moderate. After that, the flavor comes out easily and disappears pleasantly, leaving a sweet and delicious aftertaste.
The beauty of the way this disappears is the beauty of adding alcohol. It's so delicious!
There are people in this world who believe in the supremacy of junmai, and I don't mean to deny that, but I also love alcoholic sake. I think the best of them are Isoban, Jyushiyo Honmaru, and this Gakki Masamune.
If you compare it to Ghibli, it's like the young man in the white suit who is Tombo's friend in "The Witch's Delivery Service". At first glance, he looks unbecoming. But when you think about it, he's always driving a rickety car for everyone. In fact, I think he's a refreshingly handsome adult with a hint of kindness.

こるね＜A beautiful, lightly acidic, fruity spring sake.
This is the sake that we enjoyed so much last year. It was the fifth best sake out of the 466 I drank last year.
The aroma is just slightly oily. You can't really tell unless you use a wine glass, though.
The mouthfeel is smooth, clean, lightly acidic and fruity. The sweetness and umami are even thinner and fluffier. It's refreshing, deep and delicious.
Huh? I think it had a little more soft sweetness last year. It's not as impressive as last year. Too bad. But it's still good enough.
When I paired it with the mentaiko potato salad spring rolls I ordered as an appetizer, the flavor came out slowly and I was happy.
If I were to compare it to Ghibli, I'd say it's Sophia from "The Red Pig". She was a little quiet girl who was walking in the front of the four sisters of Fio's cousin. Well, she doesn't play a prominent role. But she's also from the Piccolo family. She is also very cute.

Once-fired but the aroma is fresh. Green grass, banana, alcohol, grain.
On the palate, it is honey sweet at first. Then that sweetness slowly becomes more complex. The flavor is almost sweet, and elegant bitterness also comes out. It's insanely delicious!
If I were to compare it to Ghibli, it would be "When Cherries Cherry Blossom" from "Red Pig". A chanson sung by Gina. It has an adult sexiness and a nostalgic sadness that somehow drifts in the air. This song was once sung as a memorial to the victims of the "Week of Blood," a massacre of the Paris Commune oppression. It must have carried Gina's feelings for her lost husband.

The aroma is already a lactic acid drink with alcohol. It has a richness to it.
When you take it in your mouth, you can feel the sweetness and flavor of the drink, which is gentle but strong. It doesn't come out like a bang, so you may be careless, but it's very powerful. And it's so thick that you can feel the powder.
If I were to use a Ghibli analogy, I would say Kayo from Kaze Tachinu. She's the younger sister of Jiro Horikoshi, the main character. She appeared in the 14th Honmaru the other day, but this time she looks younger than that. The little girl, Kayo, who appeared at the beginning of the story. She's been strong-minded since then. And she loves her brother.

Last week we drank a Kagoshima Tenpouring for the first time. It was well-received by the regulars who know a lot about sake at this restaurant.
Last time I didn't get the impression that the mouthfeel was insanely strong, but this time the flavor is rampant from the start, and even though this is my sixth drink, this is the most impressive. It starts off sweet and then the umami is thick!
And here's a shocking fact. Apparently, this is the first year that this company's Tenshiki has produced sake. Seriously! This is such a high level from the first year!
This one is brewed by Nishi Shuzo, who is famous for their potato shochu, Houzan. Even though they have the experience of shochu, it's amazing. The company is very popular from the first year, I remember Koei Kiku of Saga, but they are new to the difficult industry, and they are very enthusiastic. I'm looking forward to seeing more of them in the future.
If I were to compare it to Ghibli, it would be Muska from Castle in the Sky, just like last time. A very attractive and impressive villain. Of course, being a villain doesn't mean he's bad. It's because of his popularity that he has become such a popular story.

こるねSweet and mellow, a legendary sake
It is the well-known representative brand of the 14th generation and a legend. The sake that President Takagi put his whole heart and soul into.
The nose is gentle and slightly vanilla-like, with a hint of sweetness.
The mouthfeel is smooth and soft, like a pear, with a firm yet fine sweetness that spreads. And then it just glides away. Only a hint of the wonderful aroma is left behind, and it too disappears softly. It's still insanely delicious.
By the way, they call it "Secret Tamagari", which is a method of adding alcohol. This sake is specially brewed, so they add brewing alcohol to it, and they use their own pure rice lease-dried shochu to make it. The shochu is then mixed with water to make tamazake, which is called "Tama-return". By the way, Takagi Shuzo also sells shochu liqueur. I want to try it.

I've finally met a sake I've been curious about ever since the "Hanataka" from the same brewery that I drank before was so delicious. I've been curious about it ever since.
The nose is herbal, grain and alcohol.
On the palate, there is a discreet sweetness. After that, the flavors appear and the aroma spreads. But this aroma is so unique & complex that I can't describe it. It's difficult to describe. Anyway, it had a gentle feel to it.
Gin-no-Sato is Oita's preferred rice for sake brewing. Moreover, it is homegrown rice grown by the brewery themselves. That's so thoughtful, isn't it?
To use a Ghibli analogy, it's Dora from The Witch's Delivery Service. She's not from Laputa. She's a kind old lady who came to buy medicine for Kiki's mother. 'It's the times, everything changes. But your medicine is the best thing for my rheumatism" is the perfect line to accompany this drink.

こるねSuper everyday booze!
Smooth on the palate, slightly fruity & alcoholic sweetness. There's also a faint tartness that is very clean. The sweetness is light and softly cutting, so you can keep drinking it forever. Perfect for an everyday drink.
The use of brewed alcohol is very good. It achieves a beautiful sweetness and sharpness without giving off any unpleasantness at all.
This "Suzukagawa" is the local brand of Shimizu Seisaburo Store, the brewer of "Saku". The specs of this "Tokuho" are not written down in detail, but it is probably a normal class of sake. It doesn't cost 2,000 yen for a bottle of sake. But it's so delicious! It was the perfect sake to have on hand at home.
If I were to use a Ghibli analogy, it would be Yasunari Tsukishima from "Earshot". He is the father of the main character, Shizuku. He is a father who works as a librarian and researches local history in a calm and gentle manner. He is devoted to his favorite things other than his work. I think the theme of this film is "Live your life doing what you love", and he is one of the adults who embodies this theme.
Incidentally, Yasuya Tsukishima was also featured in "Gakki Masamune" before.

This was my first visit to Kotonoha, a sake bar in Tamatsukuri, Osaka. I heard from @nihonshu_masatoya that they were having a fair in Kagoshima, Miyazaki and Oita, and we hit the jackpot. The master, the lady and the regulars all know a lot about sake, and it's a lot of fun. It's a long way from my commute to work so I can't drop by casually, but I'll definitely revisit the shop.
