I was attracted by the very unique labeling. 888th of 1200 tastings was the closest to the ideal sake. It has acidity but strong umami flavor and fits well with crab zosui (rice with crab) on New Year's Eve. Thank you 🙇‍♂️ as the last sake of 2025!

There are signs of fall these days 🍂. Tonight's dinner is "Oden🍢". It was an izakaya dinner of oden and grilled onigiri, but as we were eating, I thought, "I guess hot oden should be served cold," and broke the rule of opening the package on a weekday 😆. It's dry, but has a richness and sweetness unique to the original sake...it's an endless loop with oden 😆.

Today we will be having "His Land" from our favorite brewer Kuheiji's series. I honestly didn't know there were so many different kinds. Well, it's a nice drink👍. It's not too gorgeous for a junmai daiginjo, but it's delicious! The only snacks were pickled cucumber and edamame.

We enjoyed Kuheiji again yesterday. For some reason, my wife, who is not much of a sake drinker, was a "Kuheiji" fan. I bought some for you. Today, after drinking from the sake cup, we tried a brandy glass. I enjoyed the different texture from the wine glass...sort of 😊. I had a glass of wine and a glass of brandy.

(Sequel) I'm not a fan of ginjo or daiginjo, and I'm more of a junmai guy. However, the series of sakes we had this time were all delicious. (I guess I need to change my point of view a little 😅) And for some reason, the last accompaniment to the Kochi cuisine was "Shimehari Tsuru".

(Sequel) Six people drinking together, no matter how much sake you have, it's never enough (lol), so we rushed to a store selling Kochi sake in the basement of the antenna store to consult with the owner. The friendly owner suggested this one when I told him my budget and preferences. It has a beautiful, cool label, and the taste is light, yet refreshing. Of course, it is perfect for Kochi cuisine👍.

P.S. I couldn't post this yesterday. At the antenna store in Kochi, you can "bring your own (for a fee)". My boss bought a bottle of sake and we all decided to share it. It was a refreshing drink with a sour taste.

Today, I went to a restaurant run by the Kochi Prefecture's antenna store in Ginza. The first time in my life, I had "bonito beaten with salt" which was exquisite 😋. On the first floor, there is a store where you can buy Kochi sake, which is also a lot of fun. (The owner was very friendly and helped me choose the right brand.) The Yume Xu here is a rare variety. I am a low dimensional person who is thankful when I am told, but I thought it was "delicious" 👍.

The label is imprinted with a code that leads to an aerial view of Google Maps, which is fashionable! I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of Daiginjo, but if you drink it several days after it's sealed, it's fun and tasty with a change in flavor and taste😋. But the colorful labeled Kuheiji I drank a long time ago is the best so far... I haven't been able to get back to it yet!

This is the second souvenir from Akita. When I told her that I like Junmai, she recommended this one. Although it is junmai, it is "aromatic" and "dry" as the name suggests. It is a sake that "the name says it all". It is a perfect match for the "Salmon Kimchi (dry)" that my son in Sapporo bought for me 😊👍.

I received this from an acquaintance. It is a winter limited edition and was made in October 2012. Although it is a ginjo, it has a calm and gorgeous taste. The crisp aftertaste is refreshing. It is the season for new sake 😊.

This bottle was served with soy milk sesame tofu hot pot. It's a refreshing yet umakuchi flavor that goes perfectly with it. Even when chilled, it still tastes great 😊👍

Today, I am in Sapporo with my son. On my son's recommendation, I came to "Dori" in Susukino. This place is wonderful. Delicious food and sake collaboration is the best! Junmai is the way to go 😊👍

'Neither man nor woman. Human. I want to transcend borders and divides. I want it to be that kind of sake, human." Drinking it with a boar's mouth, drinking it with a brandy glass...I didn't know the taste would change so much. It's interesting and full of flavor. I never get tired of the Kuheiji series. (Today was my mother's funeral. I sealed it off for the dedication)

I bought this at a local family store when I went to Fukushima for my father-in-law's 49th memorial service. I had never had much sake from Minamiaizu, so I gave it a try. It was thick and heavy. It is sweet and spicy. It is good when served chilled.
