The sweetness of the rice and moderate bitterness were delicious, followed by a fruity acidity that made it easy to drink, and I found myself thinking it was a delicious sake that I could drink a whole bottle of.
It was on sale for tasting at a nearby department store, but I couldn't drink it in my car. It was a Junmai recommendation rather than Junmai Ginjo, so I bought it immediately. It had a robust flavor and a tangy sake feel.
Junmai Daiginjo is served in first class on airplanes.
Junmai sake is full-bodied and sweet, with a savory flavor that comes later. It is not my favorite in terms of balance, but it is more alive with umami and saltiness than vinegar.
