A really surprising and interesting sake. I thought it would be high in acidity due to the wine yeast, but it is well balanced, with a weak sweetness and a winey aftertaste. It is more enjoyable to drink while feeling the temperature change. I would definitely drink this sake again!
This month has been really busy 💦 I've been traveling a lot and it's been a bit of a whirlwind, but it's finally over!
Labor Day in the U.S. is a 3-day weekend✨.
Tonight I'm having Oden and Sake 🍶.
It feels like fall is already here in Indiana and summer feels so short 😅.
It's been a while since I've been to Tamanomitsu.
Every year my son and I go to Nishiki Market in Kyoto to buy hamo no tare, teriyaki (grilled hamo conger eel) and salted sweetfish for drinking at home, but this year it was too hot and I was away from home. I went to the liquor store to at least get some good sake, but they were closed. I found this at a nearby supermarket.
The sake had a gorgeous aroma and a mild flavor without any habits, and I enjoyed Kyoto with my snacks.
This is the third drink of the first cool. The restaurant is located in the basement of the Otemachi Building, but it has been a long time since I have had sake. It is a delicious sweet-and-savory type of sake.
Junmai Ginjo made with wine yeast from Tamanomitsu Shuzo in Kyoto. As one would expect from wine yeast, it has a mouthfeel like white wine! It is delicious when drunk chilled...!
After the sweetness, it is very refreshing. Cheers to the wine glass!
