This is a driver's sake that cannot be tasted on the Suwa Gokura tour. Only this brewery offered small bottles of sake instead of cups. I must drink it this year😅.
The aroma is calm with a little bit of alcohol smell.
The sweetness of the rice flavor and the well-balanced acidity were delicious.
This was my first time drinking Maihime sake in Suwa, and I loved it 😁.
Today, the temperature is such that you can wear short sleeves. It was so warm that I thought I could wear short sleeves. We were going to have oden for dinner, but it didn't turn out that way.
I served Maihime, which had been chilled in the refrigerator, with Unohana. It is golden in color and has a strong aroma and flavor. I plan to serve it with scallop sashimi later.
We got this bottle because the Co-op has a good selection of sake. We are enjoying it very much.
Nagano, Suwa City. Maime Corporation.
Miki Junmai Daiginjo Omachi, limited edition sake from the brewery store.
Purchased at the brewery during a tour of five Suwa breweries.
One of the 3 bottles I brought back from my trip (7/9).
Bought 3 bottles at Maihime, I guess I liked a lot of their sake. The biggest and sweetest of the three.
I will drink it cold.
The color is clear but has a yellowish tinge.
The top aroma is a slight, but distinctive mixture of rice porridge, coconut milk, yogurt-like aroma, and alcohol aroma.
The mouthfeel is slightly viscous, with a light acidity on the tongue, followed by umami and sweetness.
The nose has a hint of coconut milk and yogurt, with the flavor of steamed rice, a rich caramel-like flavor, and the sweetness of dense ripe fruit. Finally, there is a slight bitterness.
It has a slightly dessert wine-like taste.
On the second day after opening the bottle, the aroma was mild and the sweetness, umami, and richness had settled down.

Cheesy aroma. Caramelized sweetness and bitterness. Light and soft. It flows in like white water. The sweetness is asserted once more in the throat. Interesting.
Purchased at a sake brewery. Limited edition at the brewery store.
Kamisuwa Highway Machiaruki Drinking Tour 10/5 I went last week.
The event is a big one, with five sake breweries drinking and walking along the national highway. The line for the sake tasting, which was long last year, was much smoother this time. While waiting in line, a folk song was performed by local citizens, and both customers and breweries joined in the chorus of "yosasayoi yosasayoi". It was a very good improvement.
But the speed of looping the queue increased, and I was tired because I had to walk quite a bit. This is my problem.

I went on a sake brewery tour without a ticket to the Kamisuwa Highway Machiaruki Drinking Event 😀 Next up is Maihime Sake Brewery's exclusive Chimehime from their brewery store 😊.
The aroma is clean 😊The mouthfeel is nice with fruity acidity and a firm rice sweetness 😚👍It feels like a sweet and tasty sake 🥰It's pretty much my favorite 😘.
The 4th picture is the Tonkatsu set meal 🐷 I had lunch with a junior colleague the other day at the Matari Shokudo in Kamisuwa 😋The thick Tonkatsu with sauce was an excellent match 🤩This was a delicious guy who ranks high in the Tonkatsu ranking 🥳👍.
Maechen, good evening 🦉.
I hope you enjoyed the event 🍶👣I drank this sake when we toured and I liked it too ❣️ it had a sweet taste 😊.
The pork cutlet looks big and delicious😻

Shinshu Maihime Junmai Daiginjo Miyamanishiki
Purchased at the brewery during a tour of five Suwa breweries.
One of the 3 bottles (6/9) taken home on the trip.
It is served cold.
The color is clear and transparent.
The nose is rich and sweet, with a hint of ripe berry fruits.
The mouthfeel is surprisingly smooth.
On the palate, the acidity is well balanced with a gentle, full-bodied umami flavor. The sweetness is well balanced.
The overall impression is mellow, but the acidity is the most impressive.
Even though it is a junmai daiginjo, it has a firm, mellow acidity.
The aroma in the nose has a berry aroma.
I had the same impression when I tasted it, so I enjoyed it.

On the palate, a slight sweetness like fruit juice spreads over the tongue, and the umami of the rice gradually expands, giving it a richness that is not full-bodied.
The aftertaste has a light acidity and a little sake-like flavor, but the aftertaste is short.
Ingredients: rice (domestic), rice malt (domestic)
