Purchased at 7-Eleven in Saijo. It is a cheap cup of sake with added sugar from Saijo, the sake capital of Japan, Fukubito. Still, it's clean with no harsh sweetness, which I guess is the ultimate Saijo Sake Brewing School!

Purchased a set of 2 types of sake at the brewery: (1) Dry Harakuchi Harakuchi Sake and (2) Toyo Harakuchi Sake.
Both are very strong!
(1) Special Honjozo 18%: tangy, sweet and spicy, slight bitterness
(2) 19%: Strong sweetness and bitterness
Conclusion: Prefer (1)
It was spiky on the day it was uncorked, but after three days it was mellow, moderately sweet, and firm. The alcohol content is 19%, so it is very generous.
At 10°C, it has a slight banana-like aroma and goes in easily without any frizziness.
When warmed, it has a complex cheese-like aroma and a mild sweetness and umami. A delightful taste for this time of year.
