Here's the last GW drink we had
It was a sake brewery I knew nothing about.
This sake was sold as a summer draft sake by the Japan Meimon Shukai.
It seems it was the first sake from this year to be released as a Meimon Sake Kai sake.
Miyamanishiki from Akita Prefecture, Sake meter value +3, No. 9 yeast
Citrusy aroma. The impression is that it is quite sweet and has a rich umami flavor, making it very drinkable. It is not a modern type of sake, but it is quite drinkable. A little acidic?
It's hard to drink by itself...
It's hard to drink if you don't drink it while eating.
I was looking up information on this sake and happened to find out that a liquor store in my neighborhood has started a social networking site 😳.
Purchased directly from Koganei Sake Brewery...good aroma of Gohyakumangoku...can feel the delicious taste of rice...mmmm...THE local sake! It has the flavor of a local sake, but it also has a modern feel...and a sharp aftertaste! The slight bitterness is only possible with Gohyakumangoku....
Almost colorless and transparent. Although it is said to be unfiltered, there is almost no drifting of oli. Fruity aroma reminiscent of citrus fruits. There is also a sweet aroma reminiscent of golden sugar. The aroma is strong. Mild mouthfeel. Sourness with a slight effervescence. In the latter half, a firm acidity and a grapefruit-like astringency arrive late. The mouthfeel is rich. The aftertaste is medium. It is a fragrant and mellow sake.
Finally got my hands on some Kanagawa Prefecture sake
Purchased at the sake section of Yodobashi Camera
I don't often choose ginjo-shu, but since there was no other sake...
Sake with a light golden color.
Definitely a tight mouthfeel with a beautiful acidity!
When I warmed it up to lukewarm, it became easier to drink, but I think it lost too much of its flavor.
It is between "light dry" and "light sweet". It is fruity, but the aftertaste is very well behaved.
We are very pleased with the taste of locally brewed sake.
This is a dry type of sake from a local brewery.
The subtle ginjo aroma and refreshing taste that does not interfere with eating are recommended for a mid-meal drink.
