A rare aged sake purchased as a souvenir from a trip to Sendai.
A first in the sake industry
Sake heated and matured with hot spring heat
Concentrated fermented long-aged sake
A sake with a completely new aroma, produced by applying the "fortification" and "heat-aging" methods of Madeira wine, one of the world's three major fortified wines. The heat from the hot springs of Naruko Onsen in Osaki City is used for heating and aging. The clear amber color, rich caramel-like aroma, and rich sweetness blend together to create a special sake.
The 16th drink. Ichinozo.
How many years has it been since I drank Ichinozo?
I have drunk sparkling and Himezen before, though.
This one was a sweet, dark one, aged at a high temperature. However, it was not too sweet and not too bitter, and I liked it the best among the three in the picture.
Purchased at Naruko Onsen.
It is an unusual one, aged in the warmth of Naruko Onsen.
The amber color combined with the sweetness and aroma like plum wine is unique and interesting.
It is served with cheese and fruits.
Staying at Sakan, Akiu Onsen, in a room 🍶.
(Purchased at Sendai Station)
...it has a habit! LOL!
It has a caramelized taste, like a dessert.
It goes well with the cheese I had with it.
The color is like caramel, and the weight is very heavy.
It might be for different people, but I don't dislike it.
However, it might be too heavy for one person.

It's Ichinokura Madena. Sweet as maple syrup! But it's not just sweet, it's thick, probably syrup.
My juniors used to drink it on the rocks, I tried it and it's not so bad, surprisingly.
