I did a quick search on how Tohoku University was involved, and found that they were involved in everything from breeding the sake rice to selling it.
I don't know much about sake brewing, but I'm sure they went through a lot of trouble.

I was told that this sake was made by the local Tohoku University.
I had it for the first time.
I could feel the sweetness of the rice with a sweetness different from the ginjo aroma.
It was really delicious sake.
