Memorandum of March 22.
March 20 was the brewery open day at Komatsu Sake Brewery, but
But I couldn't go because of my schedule...
I was disappointed to find it at a liquor store.
The sake was supposed to be sold directly at the brewery opening, but
I found it at the liquor store and bought it immediately 😊.
Maybe the tanks are different?
Speaking of Manrei, I have an image of dry sake.
but Manryei is a sweet sake with a sake strength of -15.
It has a smooth, clear and gentle sweetness on the palate.
I can't get enough of it 😊.
I had an image of a more mellow sweet sake, but this one is clear and easy to drink.
but this one is clear and easy to drink,
I couldn't help but drink too much ✨.
I want to go to the brewery opening next year and buy a bottle!
Thank you for the treat 😋.

Back to sakes on my Fukuoka trip 🙂.
I had a few sakes I had never had before from Saga at Saga Kura on the second floor, which is owned by the owner of @sakebar Fukuzou.
Manrei is a sake from Komatsu Sake Brewery in Karatsu City 🍶.
It has a faint sweet aroma on the nose.
It has a slight sweetness and a slight bitterness of amino acid, which is often found in fully fermented sakes.
It is a rare super dry sake for Saga sake, but it was refreshing and quite delicious 🍶✨.
Good evening, Mr. Shiri 🍶.
I asked for a specific brand and they said there were super sweet and super dry, so I went with the rare super dry one 😆.
It was quite a tasty sake for a meal: ☺️
The aftertaste is sake-like (unpolished bran-like).
But it is tasty. I don't think it's the same as umami, though.
The cup sake was my first encounter with it, so I'd like to try a different one.
★★★★
Manrei Tokubetsu Junmai Super Dry Nakadori Unfiltered Unrefined Nama Sake.
Next, we had Manrei from the neighboring Saga region for the first time.
It is the first time for me to taste this sake. While the umami of the rice is well expressed, the sharpness of the aftertaste is no wonder it is called "super-harakuchi".
I bought this sake at "Liquor Shop Yoshida" when I visited Toyama!
This is my first time to try Manrei ❤.
The aroma is fruity and delicious 🤤 It also smells like marron ❤.
The taste is rather sweet in the mouth at first, but it's not habitually sweet, and then the acidity quickly follows, so the sweetness quickly goes away.
It is easy to drink despite its sweetness!
This is delicious ♥️
Slightly sweet, but with a sake strength of -15! But it has a sake degree of -15. Encompassing sweetness, voluminous umami, and a slight bitterness that finishes with a kick. A perfect food sake!
