A week ago I found an active nigori that was not in the store. The date is old for that.
The label says DRY. I don't like spicy sake, but there is a dry sake that is not spicy, and I like it. Hoping for the latter, I decided to buy it (purchased on 5/4/2025).
Automatic stirring type. Muscat aroma. One of the strongest gassiness.
Good thing it wasn't spicy. Refreshing taste.
Tasty, but something is missing, a hole, a piece of the puzzle that doesn't fit, or a sense of emptiness. Pocari Sweat feeling? Maybe it's just shallow.
Degree of buying again 7/10
Good evening, Shirotama 😃.
We are fans of Sanzenzori! The active nigori is absolutely delicious 😋 and I would love to have some and find the 😋puzzle piece🧩😋.
Good evening, Jay & Nobby!
I tried a swig of Ajinomoto and it filled the pieces! I drank it all, so I will have to wait until next year to find out the truth.
Today, a sparkling summer nigori from Sanzenmori in Tajimi, Gifu Prefecture: ❗️
Be careful when you open it. The upper clear part of the opened sake is hard and spicy❗️ and mixed with the nigori part below, it is just right❗️ fragrance is that of a fresh, fizzy unrefined sake. ❗️ When you take a sip, the fizzy tingle comes to the tip of your tongue, followed by a sharp bitter taste and then the spicy taste. ❗️ As one might expect from a sake labeled DRY, it is a dry sake. It is a nigori sake, but it is a dry sake and can go well as a food sake⭕️
Daiginjo sharpness, taste suited for a mid-meal drink, a little alcoholic but easy to drink 🍶It would be good to drink with dishes with strong flavors.
Not sake related, but the ayu fish was very tasty.
