I went to a liquor store to buy some sake I had never had before the National Sake Fair.
I wanted to buy Souhyo, but they didn't have it, so I went with Kurikomayama.
I wanted the green special junmai, but this was the only one they had in stock. The green one seems to use Miyagi yeast, but this one is different. What kind of yeast is not disclosed.
The taste is mild but very well balanced. The sweetness is only a supporting role, but there is a gentle sweetness at the bottom. I think it can be drunk at various temperatures.
At room temperature, it tastes spicy.
For home drinking
Dry with a strong umami flavor, it has a powerful taste that is not overpowered by food.
Well-balanced sake with a slightly fizzy and fruity taste.
This is another summer sake x light and dry.
There is no vocabulary to describe it other than refreshing and clean...
Easy to drink, it disappears quickly and you get drunk easily...

The aroma is somewhat like a yogurt.
When you drink it, the sourness comes.
The rice is surprisingly dense, sweet and tasty.
However, it is light on the throat.
It can be drunk like a white wine.
3/5 stars for my taste.
Sake we drank on our trip to Sendai.
It is a limited edition sake that is only released once a year.
Dry, crisp taste with a sense of maturity.
We had beef stew and fried natto (fermented soybeans) for snacks at an izakaya (Japanese-style bar) with a perverted selection of sake 🍶.
