It's been a while since I've been to Machida Sake Brewery!
Since we have "Ryujin", we will enjoy both of Gunma's most talented sake brands in a comparison style ✨.
When you open the bottle and pour it, you can smell the fresh apple aroma.
The palate is light, yet fresh, bright and juicy with melon and pear flavors as if it were directly pumped. The gasiness on the tongue is pleasant, and combined with the coolness typical of Gunma sake, it is a delicious drink that you can't put down!
It has a juicy, direct sweet flavor, acidity, and a clear, refreshing aftertaste.
The neighboring "Ryujin" is drier, but has a similar taste, and I think I caught a glimpse of the ability of both breweries, which are popular even outside of Gunma Prefecture👍.
The one that is sold mainly within the prefecture and the one that is sold widely outside of the prefecture. I think it's interesting to see the differences in the essential flavors of each.......

We went to the 10/1 sake go-around.
We visited Izayoi in Nakano, Tokyo, and had a variety of sake from Machida Sake Brewery.
Here is the first sake!
It is a limited edition sake, so all the specs are undisclosed!
The brewer was there and explained to us about the sake.
But he didn't tell us the specs.
However, as is typical of Machida Sake Brewery, it was a sweet sake and did not disappoint.
We were served all the other sakes except for the two premium ones, which were served semi-forcibly because of the crowd (we came back again later, but that's another story).
It was my first time attending a sake go-around, and it seems that the style is basically to have one drink and go to the next restaurant. I thought I might try that next year.

The ban on alcohol is lifted! Taking advantage of my eldest son's birthday celebration, I opened a bottle of a fine sake from the Machida Sake Brewery in my hometown of Gunma. Sweet aroma. Gorgeous! The first sip is extremely sweet! It reminds me of Imi or Kinjaku. The mouthfeel is thick and smooth. The bitterness and acidity are weak, making it a gentle sake. Happy birthday to my eldest son. Thanks to my wife for raising our son.

I bought a bottle of Machida Sake Brewery, this time a green Miyamanishiki since I alternate between 4 different kinds. My favorite is Pink Omachi, so I tend to focus on that one. The sweetness is juxtaposed with a crisp freshness. I reconfirm that I like this sake. I think I will enjoy it slowly for a few days without rushing.
