Sake drunk at an izakaya in Niigata
I had an image of Niigata as having a lot of dry sake, but this one was easy to drink and perfect as a food sake.
However, the level of food in Niigata is very high!
Basically, all the food was delicious!
I went to a liquor store because I wanted a crisp sake since I have been drinking a lot of sweet sake lately.
I had not decided on a brand at all, so I was very confused, but I chose this sake that I saw on Facebook.
Since it is from Niigata, I imagined it would be light and dry, so I bought it.
When I drank it, I was surprised to find that it was ⁉️
It tasted sweet.
I took a second sip, puzzled.
Even though it is a nama-shu, it is a honjozo, so there is a slight aroma of gorgeousness.
First, the sweetness asserts itself. Then, in the middle, there is a spiciness from the bitterness. This pungency is a nice accent.
The characteristic of this sake is that it does not have an alcoholic odor. I think the pungency and other factors contribute to this, but there is no odor. It also leaves a sticky feeling after drinking. It may be a one-size-fits-all sake. I think it just happened to be the one for my mood today.
This time, I bought a four-pack bottle. The price of less than 1,300 yen including tax is one of its charms.
It tastes more like sweet and refreshing fruit wine than sake.
It tastes more like sweet and refreshing fruit wine than sake.
Older sake-lovers may find it harsh, but I urge people who don't like sake to try it for themselves.
This is a great opportunity to expand the range of people who can drink sake, and I hope resellers will find it!
Katahune. Katahune?
Yes, I came across it 15 years ago, and I can't find it.
I came across it on Makomanai Nemoto Sake Shop's website by chance.
Do you have it in Susukino?
What? I can't find "Katafune" on the fridge!
I ask the waiter... What? What's this?
It's a 🖼️ label?
Eh, I can't catch up with my understanding!
And so, the comedy resumes, "Katafune"!
Bon appétit ☺️
I have a vivid memory of a long time ago, of somehow being at a sake discounter and being told that the sake was
I have a vivid memory of "delicious" at the sake counter.
This sake is also good, drunken, lingering.
I don't remember it like this. But it's good!
It's sooooo good!
There were still various "Katafune" in the shoe case.
This is a wolf's smoke of conquest!
This is the best sake I've had recently.
Organic wine-like yeastiness, pleasant on the palate, full flavor, and a nice balance with a bitterness that slowly develops over the finish.
Souzake. It was so good that I couldn't tell the difference between it and junmai or junmai ginjo sake! It has a slightly bitter taste, but is clean and easy to drink without any cloying taste!
Takeda Sake Brewery Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture
The aroma is fruity, with a beautiful floral note derived from alcohol.
The taste is very intense. Sake lovers will love it.
It is a mellow sweet sake. Since it was produced in December, it also has a rich umami flavor, like a matured or a few-day-old sake.
It is considered to go well with salty snacks.
I bought some Fukaya leeks, so I'm having sukiyaki tonight. The leeks are the star of the show tonight, but the dry honjozo sake goes well with the sake "Katafune"...sukiyaki.
This is my first new Katafune sake.
It is fresh and punchy!
The black label one has a gentle flavor that you don't get tired of drinking, but as expected of new sake, it seems to have a stronger taste.
The alcohol content is just under 17%, so sipping a little is just right.
