Today I had the idea to drive out and buy a bottle of local sake, Shugetsu's Special Junmai. I saw on the shelf at the store that it had won some kind of award for lukewarm sake, so I bought it without hesitation.
I immediately warmed it up to lukewarm. The taste is dry but clean and beautiful.
Delicious.
I found Shugetsu at the tasting corner of Hankyu Sannomiya!
I try not to look at the tasting corner at Hankyu on my way home from work because I always end up buying something, but for some reason I did 💦.
I took all of the tasting and bought the following
Nigori 👍
I saw the bottle on the table and it was bubbling and bubbling.
I knew this was a buy and bought it immediately 😁.
Opened the bottle, being careful not to spill it ❗️
Finished safely. Is the gas weak this year?
It feels gassy, but it's okay.
It's not very stimulating 🤣.
It's a bit of a matte taste, but it's easy to drink because it tastes clean and has a good acidity 👍.
It is nigori, but it was brewed in the style of Shudzuki. ❗️
I really wanted to buy Shugetsu for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, so I was thinking of going to buy it locally, but then I found it 😁.
I'm glad I was able to buy it nearby 👍
Purchased at a New Year's Eve tasting at Icoma Sake Shop.
It is slightly fruity and sweet, but the acidity is impressive. I felt I could taste the flavor better when it was closer to room temperature than when it was cold.
The fourth one is a cracker made by the Full Moon Pon company that I purchased at Dairy and Yeast. They sold fennel and rosemary, so I chose the fennel.
The fennel is kneaded into the dough of the full moon pon.
The taste is like unbaked bread, making the most of the ingredients.
I think the fennel aroma is so strong that some drinks will defeat the taste 🤔.
I think it would go well with darker and more flavorful drinks.
I mean, only Kansai people know what "mangetsu pon" means😅.
A few days after opening it, it tastes like apricots like Yoohee said before!
Good morning, bouken 🐥.
I reacted to the full moon pon🤣I didn't know there was such a stylish flavor 😳I haven't had it in a while 😋.
I see that mangetsu pon is only available in Kansai 😳I'm in the mood for the Kenmin show 😆.
Ponchan, good evening 🌃
It seems to be produced by an imported food company 🤔
I thought it was only in Kansai, but in Kanto, you can buy it at Daiso or something like that 😊.
Purchased at Ikoma Sake Shop with Jinya
It is said to be Nakakumi though it is not written.
The acidity is impressive.
When it's cold, it has a strong alcoholic taste and it feels spicy, but when it's near room temperature, it has a sweet and fruity taste. The second half of the bottle is quite strong.
It might be good to drink it on the rocks.
It's definitely better than when I ordered it a few years ago!
They must be improving the quality of their sake 🤔.
They are going to have a tasting on New Year's Eve and the brewer will be there so I'm looking forward to it 😆.
♪
100% Yamada Nishiki
Nutty, pineapple aroma
Sourness and rice flavor in the first sip
Unique grape-like flavor
Light and crisp
It would go well with sashimi of white meat fish.

It has a slight, gentle sweetness and a little acidity.
It's the type of sake that you don't get tired of drinking, and it's very strong in a meal.
When I drank a lot of Shugetsu in the past, they were all subtle and tasteless, but I feel like the quality of sake is rapidly improving and I need to re-drink the ones I drank in the past 🤔.
As the label on the back says, it has a deep taste.
It tastes better a little longer after taking it out of the fridge.
I want to get the freshly squeezed one too 😆.
I thought I was going to take a break from sake for a while, but while talking to a local sake brewer who had a stall at a local event today, I got curious and bought this hiyaoroshi.
It was quite mellow when drunk chilled. The brewer recommended lukewarm heating, so I warmed it up.
The spiciness stands out, but it is certainly delicious.
I don't often buy local sake, but this is delicious.
I can't wait to take a break from drinking.
Purchased at HYOGO SAKE EXPO 2024
I remembered this brand from last year's event, where he spoke passionately about the deliciousness of heated sake.
I tasted hiyaoroshi, but I brought back the one cup that was recommended to me last year.
It was served lukewarm!
The snacks were oden based on sardine soup!
Sticky daikon radish! Eggs and satsuma-age!
It's dry and refreshing without any peculiarities.
The sweetness of koji spreading on the tongue is very delicious!
It was a wonderful combination that did not interfere with the oden!
The mouthfeel is crisp, yet
Mellow and rich taste
Dry taste with a firm grip on the throat
Different tastes on the tip of the tongue, in the mouth, and at the back of the throat
I usually don't drink much honjozo, but this is delicious.
I was told that you can put ice on top of it, which I did, and the degree of change in flavor was very interesting. It's surprisingly good 😋.
One of the breweries I regularly visit is the Karibaichi Sake Brewery in Sasayama, Tanba.
I stopped by again on my way home from a stay in Tamba Sasayama🚗.
I wish I had gone a little earlier in the new sake season, as it was already in cold storage in June 💡.
It's been about half a year since the new sake, so you can taste a little bit of a thirstiness, and the sweetness of the apricot-like maturity spreads.
Personally, I like apricot flavors, so I took my time with the grilled meat ✨.
720 mL ¥ 1,760
Next, Shugetsu's Kurafan limited edition sake
Kurafan" sounds like crowdfunding, but it is not. It is an effort to increase the number of fans of the brewery.
The price is 15,000 yen per unit for those over 40 years old, and 10,000 yen per unit for those between 20 and 39 years old.
There are some benefits such as limited edition sake, invitations to events, goods, newsletters, etc. (The T-shirts for the goods are cute 😆)
We drank
Special Junmai Unfiltered Nama Sake Direct Kumi
It tasted like no other Shudzuki I've ever had. It was sweet and delicious!
It was the best Shudzuki I have ever tasted.
Aged sake BLENDED
Aged sake blended with Daiginjo with a 35% rice polishing ratio.
The color is deep, but the maturing aroma is modest. It may be said that the aging standard is almost non-existent.
Perhaps because it is a Daiginjo blend, it is a beautiful and easy to drink aged sake.
Thank you very much for letting me try your precious sake 🙇.
