One of the breweries I regularly visit is the Karibaichi Sake Brewery in Sasayama, Tanba.
I stopped by again on my way home from a stay in Tamba Sasayama🚗.
I wish I had gone a little earlier in the new sake season, as it was already in cold storage in June 💡.
It's been about half a year since the new sake, so you can taste a little bit of a thirstiness, and the sweetness of the apricot-like maturity spreads.
Personally, I like apricot flavors, so I took my time with the grilled meat ✨.

Next, Shugetsu's Kurafan limited edition sake
Kurafan" sounds like crowdfunding, but it is not. It is an effort to increase the number of fans of the brewery.
The price is 15,000 yen per unit for those over 40 years old, and 10,000 yen per unit for those between 20 and 39 years old.
There are some benefits such as limited edition sake, invitations to events, goods, newsletters, etc. (The T-shirts for the goods are cute 😆)
We drank
Special Junmai Unfiltered Nama Sake Direct Kumi
It tasted like no other Shudzuki I've ever had. It was sweet and delicious!
It was the best Shudzuki I have ever tasted.
Aged sake BLENDED
Aged sake blended with Daiginjo with a 35% rice polishing ratio.
The color is deep, but the maturing aroma is modest. It may be said that the aging standard is almost non-existent.
Perhaps because it is a Daiginjo blend, it is a beautiful and easy to drink aged sake.
Thank you very much for letting me try your precious sake 🙇.
Purchased after drinking at a tasting by Icoma Sake Shop.
New product that had never been in the lineup before.
They said it was once-fired.
I think they said the rice was Yamada Nishiki 🤔.
A little fresh, a little apple-like. Slightly sweet and refreshing with a bitter accent at the end.
After a few days, I think it's starting to get citrusy.
Almost colorless and transparent. Sweet aroma reminiscent of cotton candy. The strength of the aroma is medium. The mouthfeel is mild. The hint of fragrance is reminiscent of hachitakoi (sticky rice powder). The moderate acidity and astringent taste leave a moderate aftertaste. A mellow sake.
It has a light texture and goes in easily without much habit.
It is like water, and I think it is a little unsatisfying.
On my way back from a trip to Tanba in October, I stopped by the brewery in Sasayama.
I was able to buy a Junmai Daiginjo for a little less than ¥2,600 because they were offering a ¥-300 discount on all purchases at the kuramoto ✨.
The blue bottle with sparkling 🌙 on the label gives it a luxurious feel and makes you feel like you're drinking something expensive.
Personally, I prefer the Tokujun, which has a more robust rice flavor 💡.
720 mL ¥ 2,300
Good evening, Mr. Yoohee. Shugetsu, you are from Tanba Sasayama, aren't you? I see you can buy it for 300 yen cheaper at the brewery, I'll go there next time💕.
Hi Hirupeko, good evening. ⭐︎
I can still get there from Osaka by train 🚈(I think I'll go by car though lol).
And they make fun cards for you, so you have to go there regularly👍.
The slightly apricot-like aroma and aromatic sweetness is gooey and flows smoothly with a slight bitterness.
The flavor is complex when opened, so as you drink it little by little, the sweetness comes forward and you can enjoy the change in flavor.
Bouken recommended it to me, so I stopped by the brewery on my way back from a visit to Tamba and bought some ✨.
Tamba Sasayama is surprisingly close and I made a fun card so I will go back 💡.
720 mL ¥ 2,050
bouken Good evening ⭐︎
I thought it might swing towards savory, but it's sweeter and more drinkable 💡.
Yes, it feels like a stamp card from a neighborhood independent store and it's so wholesome ✨.
