It seems the results of the heated sake contest have been announced, so I'm having a strategy meeting by myself while drinking at Haneya. Almost all the sake in the fridge is "needs to be kept cold". Some of the major makers have been chosen. https://www.kansake.jp/
Haneya MOONLIGHT BEAUTY OMACHI No.10 Limited Nama
Rating 4.3
This is indeed a beautiful sake that combines a delicate balance based on Omachi and No. 10 yeast.
From the top, the aroma is thin and gradually spreads to a fresh white grape-like aroma that is typical of No. 10 yeast (Ogawa yeast).
In the middle, there is a thin but surely tropical fruitiness of Omachi.
From the bottom, gas and acidity come up to tighten the flavor. The taste is like "apricot pudding" with a long, beautiful sweetness that lingers. It has a raw and mild taste. It is a pity that it has a spicy and bitter taste.
Good balance of sweetness, cleanness and some bitterness.
The kind you can drink as much as you want.
Tastes great on its own or with food.
Because it is a draft sake, there is a slight gaseous taste.
After finishing work early on Obon, we had a party at the building in front of the station.
Today, we had Haneya Kouka Junmai Ginjyo Nama-no-Hara Sake.
It is served at a low price, but has the freshness and flavor of a special grade.
It has the texture of nama-shu and a slightly sweet aftertaste. Highly recommended!
