The "Iwanoi i240" series is an unfiltered, unfiltered, undiluted junmai ginjo that is a renewal of the "Iwanoi Aka Label" series with a difference in rice.
You can feel the "effervescence" brought about by the powerful fermentation caused by the ultra-hard water brewing process that is unique to Iwanoi.
I bought it when I went to a key and tasting with Nemuchi.
The aroma has a top note of hackberry 🌿.
Wild mouthfeel. I didn't feel the fruity taste often seen in the reviews. A little bit of sweetness, but it has a chocolatey bitterness. I wonder if it's because it's a very hard water, but I can feel the minerality and hardness.
I wonder if it has a nutty, cookie, buttery taste.
It's a draft sake, but it looks good when heated.
It has a similar vibe to Taisho no Tsuru 🤔.
It's a little smoky.
Omachi, but this one is a bit different from my taste...
The more days go by, the less I like it.
Yamada Nishiki.
The first mouthful is smooth, but the sweetness and umami come through in the mid-palate.
The richness of the full umami flavor lingers into the aftertaste.

Late lunch at Choshimaru on a holiday afternoon 😁.
This restaurant was renovated a while ago and has a classy atmosphere 👍.
I didn't know they had a limited hiyaoroshi on tap 😆.
The deep flavor of the sake is not overpowered by the oily fish.
The deep flavor will make your meal even more exciting 😋😋😋.
It's so good!
The wine is clear with a slightly yellowish hue. The aroma is sweet, reminiscent of custard cream and golden sugar, with a hint of dried shiitake mushrooms. The strength of the aroma is medium. The mouthfeel is mellow. The nose is fresh and refreshing with juicy hints of acidity. It may be unusual that the order of appearance is reversed. It has a long finish with a slightly nutty and cocoa-like richness and a faint green tea-like overtone. A mellow sake.
